How about those brain battering concussions this weekend?

    Good times...

The sorts of injuries those guys took can be really dangerous. I hope the NFL gets off it's rich fat ass and does something about it.

I am okay with the Cowboys going 1-4, and I think the NFL is over reacting a little bit, i know Jackson got rocked but it was a legal hit.

A good point was made on NFL total access or whatever it is called. A fine of $5,000 does nothing to a man earning $5,000,000 a year. Suspend him for a game however, and he has to explain it to his teammates and his coach why he couldn't contribute to their next game.

When the NFL start banning people for overhitting, then we will start to see a reduction. Much like the horse collar tackles the NFL clamped down on a couple of season ago.

    HUGE!

This Bears/Packers game is the biggest football game in the Midwest since the 1985 Super Bowl.

    Check this out:

Circa 1995, Packers Fan taped to stop sign outside Lake County, IL bar.

I drove past this guy that day during the hour or so he was there before the local cops freed him. Good times...

    This game today is MASSIVE.
I hope the Bears beat the Pack...it looks like an uphill struggle because the Packers are on fire now and Aaron Rogers is really dialed in.

I see a Steelers vs Packers Super Bowl, which has the makings for a great game. But, Go BEARS!

Well at least they will both be used to the weather, it will be freezing coming off the lake.

Only been to S.F once to see a World Cup game. I think it was Germany V Spain, ended 1-1.

    Go Bears.

Although the NFL gets all the attention does anyone else watch NCAAF (the college version)? Far more entertaining, better rivalry & far more upsets.

Yes, but the Bears are making a go of it anyway. Nobody told Hanie he is supposed to flop.
Absolutely...took Voice Of Reason's son to a couple of University of California games in October and I believe I made him a convert to the Golden Bears, despite a HUGE blowout away at USC.

It's very enjoyable stuff though the level of fairness widely varies since many top schools cheat to pay the players in some form or fashion under the table while other schools they compete with simply can't afford it.

He's the tip of the iceberg...as a PAC-10 fan, it is mostly USC I am referring to. They are currently unable to go to a postseason bowl game and have had many of their scholarships deleted over Reggie Bush being paid to attend "U$C". It is a dirty school, building success out of cheating.

True but to fair they weren't good enough for a bowl this year anyway. They have the biggest lying cheat of a coach there anyway.

That is partially due to the fact that they had a dozen or so scholarships removed for the next few years as sanctions already. Well deserved punishment.

Watched it to half time, what a game. I was really enjoying that but really couldn't make it past the half time break. I wish I had now.

Was a great game, if the steelers hadnt made it 10-21 at half time i was going to bed, i thought the steelers were going to steal it at the end.
