Take it up with "google translate" and "wikipedia" then sir.

"As the Eurovision contest uses a Borda count voting system, "nul points" means that no voter (in this case, country) has ranked the entry at all. The term "nul points" is not used in the official Eurovision scoring announcements, as only the entries that are awarded points are announced."
My post in inverted commas was to signify an announcement :).

Apparently, it has to be somewhere that can be made available for three weeks prior to the event. A lot of big venues will have plenty of bookings already, so they may need to use somewhere with acts middling enough to be binned off.

I reckon the Alban Arena, but if that very sensible plan is rejected for some reason, anywhere with two arenas may be likely, Brum for example, so acts can be rebooked in the same city.

Is that named after Dr. Alban?

Anyway, how about the Vic? Well known music venue.

    Me. Delivering the Tring vote.
Shall we move on ? If you think I'm wrong and you're right, that's fine, I'll agree.

Something at Media City might be big enough. Failing that stick it in a massive warehouse.

Yeah! Put it on illegally, encourage people to head towards the M25, then tweet directions to the venue about an hour before the start.

They need to host it somewhere very inaccessible so that only diehard fans will want to go.
    Currently anywhere in the UK.

Venue to be announced in an hour on This Time with Alan Partridge (sorry, the One Show).

I've thought it would be Glasgow from the start, so I suggest you all lump on Liverpool.

Next interest will be choice of presenters, I guess? Good chance that at least one will be Ukranian. Perhaps they will exhume Wogan for the night. @wfcmoog: how about Sally Lindsay? :D

Without shame, and despite it being not remotely my usual bag, I love Eurovision.

The date is also getting announced later, so I had a browse earlier at accommodation in Glasgow in May 2023... You can't get any Saturday night in any accomodation for less than £2,000.

I bet they choose some dreary Scouser like Sonia, Carla Lane, or McCartney to present.

Surely no one who gets triggered by Joe Lycett would be prepared to sit through the bombastic gayness of Eurovision though?
