Or perhaps they're desperate and can see no other way to break a nasty addiction cycle and see the Beeb employee as a predatory enabler.

Could be anything given the near zero details we have, really.

I'm amazed anyone actually pays for naughty images these days given it's about 86% of the internet.

Ah, the only thing more righteous than the BBC is the BBC investigating and reporting on the BBC.

In slightly more seriousness the headline is pretty clickbaity. 'Young person' it turns out could be someone aged 22/23. I'm not sure why they've not just been described as 'a person' instead.

    No doubt.

Quite how this seemingly fragile 'young person' is up to putting themselves out there on a dating site and threatening to unveil the identity of a famous person who asks them out, but not to take a bit of robust feedback in response, isn't really explained.

The Police have asked the BBC to halt any ‘internal probe.’ Either that or it was generic advice to celebrities everywhere.

Not a great time for any BBC presenter to have legitimately gone on holiday. Just needs a couple more to come out and say 'who me but not me' and we'll more or less know who it is.

Aren't they from your favourite UK city or have I just imagined it and I need to calm down. I also thought The Sun was completely verboten in that area of the North-West after their "reporting" on the Hillsborough disaster.

Asked a journalist who I regularly work with today at said tabloid (don’t judge me, it’s a sport journo) and he confirmed it is who everyone thinks it is.

The grave tones and deathly seriousness of the BBC's coverage of this is making it even more fun for the rest of us!

I love how they bump things like a NATO summit from the top of the bill for this sort of thing. All very serious, lots of long faces around the desk in the news studio. No other organisation would do this to itself.

I think one thing more righteous than the BBC investigating is the Sun reporting with clutched pearls on 'semi-naked pictures' of 'young people'.
