Too many ‘confidence’ players that need the going to be good to get a tune out of them. Femenia, Sissoko, Sarr etc. All look the business when things are going well, but crumble when the going gets tough. Plenty of effort from some, but a genuine lack of quality and we’re nowhere near good enough to get results carrying passengers who show up if they feel like it. I wouldn’t be pointing the blame at the likes of Kucka despite all his faults, he gives his all, not his fault its not to the required standard and there are no other players of better quality or comparable work rate that should be picked ahead of him. That blame lies at the feet of those assembling the playing squad. Its the players we know are capable of much more, but rarely if ever show it and hide when the pressure is on to deliver that deserve much more flak. A goal every 8 or 9 weeks shouldn’t paper over that. Shame the season has become what it has, after the opening day I wasn’t getting carried away by any means thinking we’d cruise it, but I don’t think I’d have foreseen 10 home defeats in a row.
His berating of Kamara in the first half was insulting. Absolutely unforgiveable to boot it out and blame the left back. Second half he did the same thing.....
What a shambles. Just an idea, it will not happen, but we should just let them play the home games left with just the away fans. Home fans simply don't bother going. Rest assured, the fans committee will still be kissing ass and licking boots at their next secret meeting. Duxbury and Pozzo won't care as our first team won 4-1 at home to Empoli. The reserves suffered another half hearted embarrassing defeat to a Brentford side that weren't really trying. As some have said already on here, we have wasted our time in the Premier league this season. We were not prepared on and off the pitch to play at this level. Again, we call for a clear out of players, a new direction from the club, a manager who has time to coach and a new Chairman. Will we get this? No, we will **** it up again. I have been a supporter for many years, but this is the first that l have felt anger, embarrassment and a sense that we have not learnt any lessons - again! Duxbury should go, Roy is finished and Gino needs to decide what does he really want from owning Watford FC. If this was Italy, Spain, France or nearly any other European Country, the fans would hold demonstrations at the training ground or vent their anger at home games or stage a walk out. Not Watford, a family club, soft supporters and who accept the BS coming from the club. We have reached a new low today Happy Easter to you all.
First half was awful. Even my 13, year old nephew was laughing at how bad we are. So much for youthful optimism lol
I like Kamara, I like Louza too. Sissoko has the touch of a donkey, can't pass, can't turn, can't shoot he's just a physical beast, if God had blessed him with a football brain he'd be unreal, now he's 6-12 months away from being Cleverly.
Btw, our lowest point tally as a Premier League club is 24 points. A few games left to set another record.
On a day of Kevin Miller and Heurolio Gomes coming back as heroes it showed Ben Foster as good as he's been in the past will never be seen in the same light.
A year or so ago we celebrated in the sunshine as we won promotion straight back to the PL. And for what? So we could end up a year later being (allegedly) managed by an awful-beyond-words dinosaur and losing our 10th consecutive home game (thanks to our second consecutive 95th minute defeat by the team we beat off to secure that automatic promotion). What could have been a wonderful opportunity to re-establish ourselves as a solid PL club has been ruined by ineptitude, arrogance, complacency, nonsensical decision making and downright lies to those who help fund the club. If you or I did our jobs so badly, we’d be shown the door. The tragedy of our current situation is there is little hope of that happening to those who’ve royally screwed us over and ruined our dreams and hoped.
Gosh. I rarely agree with our skiing chum but I do on this occasion. Whether it's the sunshine, Tsitsipas finally using a slice backhand or perhaps LaClu has hit la nail on la bonce or perhaps le bonce? One can't help feel we haven't reached the bottom yet. Happy Easter to all apart from Mrs Edna Scroggins,15 Railway Cuttings,East Cheam.
Not strictly true. My so called colleague of a coach has been lazy, rude, uneducated for decades yet he is still permitted to "work" as the spineless saps of the "weird sisters" at the club think he has a role to play as a coach. However in any recognized profession I agree, you'd be out the door before you could say " where did I park my Baby Bentley?"
Yes, but there isn't one who will bash heads together or will put themselves forward for the others to rally around. It's all finger pointing and shrugging of shoulders.
Man City will batter us Burnley will beat us having something to play for (maybe), and we're at home. Palace always seem to beat us now Leicester are better than us despite having a poor season, and we're at home. Everton won't even need to try by the time we play them, and we're at home. Chelsea won't get out of third gear to easily see us off back down to the Championship. Saved you all the next six weeks.
Although it was a good goal Dennis looks like a new born dear can’t run for more than 20 yards without tripping up over his own feet, he is seriously a really **** player that has somehow managed to score a reasonable number of goals. Sarr fast as **** with no end product , probably end up being world class when we sell him to Liverpool King, great for Norway , **** all use to watford Sell , keep, retire Sell Dennis , sarr , king Retire Cleverly, kucka (more enthusiasm than talent , but at least he had some), foster , gosling , Cathcart Keep Sissoko (will probably leave), JP ,Cucho, Lousa, Kiko , Kamara , Kabs, Samir (maybe) Not sure about the rest , but also need to hire somebody with a cattle prod to run around after our players , prodding them when they slip over, stop running, make stupid passes
Three takes from my experience today Great atmosphere, not always started from the 1881 too. The new announcer is an absolute atmosphere killer. Who in hell put a retired teacher in charge of creating an atmosphere? Tooooooooooo late with the subs again. King getting 25 minutes when we were on top. Maybe just maybe we get the win. Bonus thought. Dennis is the most selfish footballer we've ever had on our books. Glad to see the back of him. Too many dives, missed passes and sulks.
Problem is you can’t retire players when you have given them idiotic contract lengths. Cleverly, Cathcart, Kucka, Gosling. These four will suckle the test next year.
Sarr’s individual performance last week was horrific and the worst of the season, I didn’t think there would be a worse performance but Dennis was somehow even worse today.
When I checked the score I just burst out laughing. At this point it's just amusing to me. Went past the anger stage a long time ago!
It was toe curling. The dive in the first half set the tone. Even the ref told him to get up and get on with it.
You get a good view. Note the sticker on the post. 1500m drop past the safety net. Still not far enough for some Warford players or staff.
