You do know Foster and Ramsdale are best buds? Possibly did that on purpose with a cheeky grin.

Because he wants to attack and win. Something Hodgson has little interest in.

I agree a point would not have been unfair on the Ar5e, but I always look at the balance of the match by asking the question 'would it have been fair on the balance of play if the losing side had actually won?'. In which case, the answer is 'no'. So a 60/40 balance in their favour today. Both sides messsed up very presentable positions with poor decision-making in the final third; it's just that we made 2 crucial avoidable errors with Clev's little snooze on the edge of his own box & Louza's bizarre pass before their third. Whilst we were absolutely off the pace defending the subsequent throw-in, I have no idea what he was trying to achieve with the pass in the first place. Oh, and their finishing was way better.

I was non-plussed by Louza going off, but who knows what 'instructions' he was not following? IF we could only play like that in the upcoming games against the poorer teams, we'd have a real hope. Recent history suggests we won't, however.

In which case he should have given us the chance to contest the drop ball. I know it doesn’t work that way, but I’m angry. You’re right about White fouling Cucho. Cucho was fractionally ahead of him when the arm came out.

Calling someone you don’t know, have never met and who has never said an aggressive word to you a ‘*******’, and accusing them of being fickle and toxic for an entirely innocent and good natured post says far more about you than him/her.

Apologies for getting your age wrong. But your virtue-signalling on the Shoutbox about fans being ‘entitled’ and suggesting that only the opinions of people aged 60+ are relevant because they remember the ‘bad/dark times’ perfectly alluded to you being of that age bracket.

But now they look even stranger than they did then given you aren’t in that age bracket.

Enjoyable day at the Vic, but disappointing result. I thought we played well, but made some costly errors. There were a number of Arse supporters sitting in front of me in the GT stand who irked me and others. One steward kick them out, but her colleagues didn’t back her up and they stayed til the end.

Thought Pedro and Cucho played well and Louza, before he was taken off for some reason. Poor old Tom made a massive blunder for their 2nd. That was a bitter blow.

Time wasting Arsenal will be also rans for the foreseeable future, although Zaka is an exceptional player as well as the blondie lad in midfield.

Thought we did ok. Clevs error, stupid error from louza (who did well). Deserved a draw.

Alan Smith quote of the day. "Good to see Arsenal doing the bad stuff well... Not the really bad stuff of course!" condoning to Arsenal being unsporting, tinewasting and diving... But not kicking opponents in the head I guess. Yes thats what the punters want Alan.

I am glad you managed to sort out the tickets. Hope you have a safe journey back - sorry the lad's couldn't take anything from it but at least it wasn't another 1-4 smashing at home. As you say, individual errors again - until that changes we won't get any better.

That's not the way it works anymore. Refs wait until one side is in clear possession and then allow that side to play the drop ball. And people like you are why we've got VAR for offsides now.

The obvious has stated been time and time again this season, just too many poor players in this team. Sometimes Cathcart will be okay, sometimes Cleverley will be, sometimes Foster will be but the opposite to that is, the other play will then be terrible, you just can't cover up that many awful individual performances over a season, it'll always come back to bite you.

Pedro made some really good runs second half they were struggling to tackle him. Live to me Odegaard's tackle on him looked a stonewall penalty.

Louza was really good, no idea how he got taken off one of the most bizarre decisions I can recall from a Watford manager in recent times, was it for that pass across the pitch that led to Arsenal's 3rd? Well done to Cucho, he's average at best but really does try hard and a wonderful goal.

If we lose like that for the rest of the season I don't mind, least there was enough reason to stay till the end and I wasn't bored to death.

Kalu looked weirdly bright. Not long enough to judge him on.

Special shout out to Tierney for that laughable fall to the floor in extra time, really pathetic, he'll be embarrassed watching that back. Arsenal wasted time fantastically, took 3 minutes to celebrate a goal whilst Xhaka took on instructions from Arteta. For that 5 mins of extra time the ball was live for probably 2/3 mins.

It's another game where the opposition haven't had to do too much to win.

    Masters of our own downfall.

At least it was a good match with goal of the season, but it's the same old story.

Thank you. we are staying in Watford tonight, going for a meal and a few drinks (makes me feel old (pints with my kids)). Seems so recent that they wanted to get their picture taken with Harry! They will be minding me now!

Not the worst defeat that I have witnessed, and I have witnessed many. A couple of years away was too long.

I really dislike Arsenal but I was pretty impressed with them, the progress they've made is unfortunately very good. I don't think we were awful, but punished for individual mistakes once again. I thought on the occasional times we did go forward we looked okay.

Cuchos goal must be one of our best Premier league goals, shame it will be overshadowed with the result.

The main question from today’s games is: why on earth were Arsenal wearing red shorts?

As for Watford: the passing and finishing were mostly poor, but why don’t they play with that enthusiasm in home games where they have a better chance of winning?

OMG. That is beyond the limit really. Who was at fault for the second goal? Cleverley. Who was having a poor game? Cleverley. Louza did little wrong bar that one cross field pass that set up the third goal. Just another hopeless comment from a guy who knows he's cashing it in come May.

Scoreline flattered us, once they got to 3-1 Arsenal we’re mucking about trying to score showpiece goals and subbing on duds like Pepe and Nketiah

Just rubbish again really, defence shipping goals for fun at home and constant individual mistakes. A midfield 3 who don’t offer much in either attack or defense and a front line who constantly take too many touches and don’t seem to want to pass to each other

The kind of season where you just wish it was over tomorrow instead of dragging it out

I don’t I can reply to RS2’s post as I think he blocked me after I accidentally offended him by calling Ranieri an idiot, but if I could, I’d tell him that I agree totally with his view.

Getting Hodgson out of retirement, with his dull brand of football, his excruciatingly boring press conferences and his ‘how dare anybody question me’ attitude was a shocking decision by our owners.

This is a man who embarrassed the nation against Iceland, who was out of his depth at Liverpool and never won anything at Palace or anywhere else in this country from what I can see.

This season died when Xisco left. I’m well aware that I will now be subjected to the usual responses reminding me that he had no tactical ability, we lost to Leeds Wolves and were poor against Newcastle etc, and yes that’s right. We probably would still have gone down under him, but at least life might have looked a little more joyful as he seemed to unite the squad and gave the impression of a club pulling together.

What we now have is a manager here for one last pay day who feels it’s appropriate to criticise us for collectively not appreciating one of the many useless decisions he’s subjected us too since he decided to take time off his gardening and going to bingo.

    Ghastly.

Malts my old friend - hope you’re well.

Just to say - the season didn’t ‘die’ when Xisco left. It was the correct decision. The problem has arisen in that the subsequent choices for Head Coach/Manager have been so poor. They have been reactionary and nothing more. They weren’t thought out changes or done with any degree of consideration for what they were going to get from Ranieri or Hodgson.

A decent club makes a plan and then recruits within it. We essentially call someone up and ask if they fancy the job for a bit…no interview, no plan and no thought into their compatibility…nothing.

Hodgson mentioned in his post match interview that fans have there favourites and there’s players that we take to and others we don’t when referring to the Louza substitution.

But at least for me, it wasn’t so much Kayembe coming on, it was the fact that it wasn’t Cleverley being withdrawn.

Oh yeah a lot of fans are dribbling wrecks, me included. But a blind man could have told you that Cleverley was the one who needed to be subbed and not Louza!
