You obviously don't know the song, the wah is in the original and now it sounds perfect when you sing it out loud :

The n isn't silent in ndidi though

 

It still works even when you pronounce the N! You just say it quickly "Ndiddy"

I think it's pretty clear that "Doo wah do ray me fah so la ti doh Ndidi" fits better. Can't you all count syllables?
