Alan Lee from Ipswich!!! He is a Henderson type player, but Lee he can score goals and has more pace and skill than Hendo!!!
Peter Ramage and Stephen Carr have been released by Newcastle and wouldnt be bad signings IMO Ramage got offered a contract but rejected it saying he wanted first team football

That's exactly the kind of attitude we should look for. Basically he's good enough for Newcastle to want to retain his services but not necessarily as a 1st team player. Furthermore he's still only 24.
Huckerby is now about 34 and hasn't been able to hold down a regular place at Norwich. Ability but one good game in 5 isn't what we need. Ramage sounds good and could team up with Davenport Don't forget we have Francis and Williams back next year. Lita has a poor attitude. Lisbie is poor and Nugentt has done nothing to prove his worth and would be replacing one lump in Henderson for another. There are a couple of players that premiership clubs have sent out on load that might not be in their plans for next season - Chris Riggott ( borough ) and Amiobi - Newcastle
With a smile, you really make me despair at times!! - Huckerby is 31, hardly past it! - Injuries prevented him being a regular in the Norwich side, not a lack of ability. - Lisbie is far from poor, he's scored goals at both Premiership and Championship level and in struggling sides. Now this really tops off the bullsh*t..... How on earth can you compare Nugent and Henderson as being a similar type of player!?!?! You must be a complete fruitcake to think Henderson is anywhere near Nugent's level of ability. Nugent has the ability to actually control a ball and beat a player and has genuine technical talent and scores goals for fun at this level. You plank!
Having looked it up Huckerby is 32, so we are both wrong there. I'm sure Aidy got rid of players over 30 because he wanted to work with younger players. And lets face it if he still had enough quality about him then Norwich wouldn't have let him go. We already have one right footer playing wide left, only turning it one every 4 or 5 games why do we need another ? Nugentt can turn and score with his feet yes but in the system we play and withthe tactic we empoly it would be replaceing the same for same. Baring this season you'll notice that Lisbie actually made alot more sub appearances than starts, hardly going to be prolific like that is ? Yet when he does get a run in the team like he has this season he's hit a goal every 2 and a bit games in a side that went down that's very good!

One you have gone back and read the post rather than what you want to beleive is written you will see it says that Henderson and Nugent, IN OUR STYLE OF PLAY, would be the same for same Do you really think Aidy is going to change his style by brining in one 6ft 3" centre forwward for another ? NO he will just be another lump up fron having the ball hoiked at his head.
Don't get your hope up too much IF promotion does not happen about getting in loads of new players. If reports are right it will be a case of cutting costs and more will be leaveing than coming into the Vic. We will probably see more of the youngsters next season with Robinson and Liam Henderson getting more of a chance. Chewitt is right...King could cope with our style because he had the ability to control the ball and shoot from pretty acute angles which I guess is what Ellington could do (and probably does in training)
Nugent is nothing like Kabba !! Nugent would be able to actually do something when he has the ball at his feet unlike Henderson who hasn't got a farking clue (bit like you really). King isn't a 6ft 3 striker but managed to bang the goals in with our style of play and Nugent probable could too, that's because they're a cut above the rest in this division.
WOW how many points can you miss The only way Nugent will come in is if Henderson goes and he will replace his as a target man - ball being banged at his head all afternoon

I believe that unless a player requests a transfer, they are due a slice of the transfer fee so there is no way the club would sell Elligton as we would loose even more money on him when potentially under the right system and manager he would be usefull. For the Ins, Zamora and Johnson are a no as too big name players to join us, they will want to play prem footie. I agree with the other outgoings but would add Shittu to the equation and then one of the right backs, be in Doyley or Mariappa (who I would like to see leave on loan).
........ but Zamora and johnson havent really had lots of prem footie this year and i doubt either will get it next season as both west ham and boro will look to strengthen. I think we're in with a shout on both.....

Brian Howard in centre-mid (his contract is about to expire. He might go to a Premiership side though). Olofinjana might be another option, if we could afford him and no Prem sides come in for him. Moritz Volz. I'm not too sure about Davenport, he could be injured for most of the season. Is Gorkss good enough? I haven't seen much of him. Anthony Gardner is still floating about, not getting any games anywhere. Hoolahan would be good at left-wing (his contract is definitely expiring soon), but I'm not sure if I would definitely sign him though as McAnuff has played pretty well recently and it might p*ss him off too much. On the other hand, next season McAnuff might go back to his inconsistent self, in which case we'd be a bit b*ggered. I would imagine if Johnson went anywhere it would be to a Premiership club. I can't really think of any suitable strikers apart from Beckford and Connolly, unfortunately. I really don't rate Healy, that Burton guy someone mentioned is a winger with 1 goal this season. Actually, I've just had a brainwave! Have any of you heard of that 17 year-old Man Utd striker Danny Welbeck? He has been compared to a slightly shorter, quicker Kanu and has an excellent goalscoring record at reserve level (maybe even better than Campbell had). We would never be able to sign him permanently, even if we got promoted, but I wouldn't be surprised if Fergus was also looking to send him out on loan.

It's a shame Leeds have reached the playoff final tonight, I just hope they end up losing it, not just because I hate the bastewards, but also because I reckon we might be able to persuade Beckford to come to us if they fail to get promotion. I know he turned us down before, but so what!!!
Gorkks is excellent. A real 100 percenter. We need to ship out the deadwood as quickly as possible ,get the funds in & make 2-3 permanent signings & some astute loan ones. We need to play a combination of the passing & physical game. Sides that play purely a passing game in this division don't make it ie Ipswich. Beckford would not want to come if Leeds don't go up. Has an ego problem & would jump straight to the Premiership. Plus any clubs hearing of our interest & assuming we are flush with cash will raise their transfer fee. Olofinjana would be pricey at around £3M plus & Wolves would not want to sell to a rival. Howard is possible as is Hoolahan. I'd like Helguson in for his commitment. Proven quality at this level & can hold the ball up for our midfield. And we should bring in some of the highly talented kids at Arsenal or Chelsea ie Stoch ,Lansbury & I thought we had a good link with Manchester United ie Foster , Davis(RIP Jimmy) & Webber so Wellbeck would be an excellent choice. If possible even aim at Campbell. I find it disappointing considering our so called link with them they having pinched Chadwick & Eagles that AB missed out on Campbell & picked a £4M flop in Ellington , money that a club like us can ill afford. Also other candidates could be Sam Vokes (Bournemouth) David Bell (Luton ) & Kieran Westwood (Carlisle). AB needs to move quickly though as everyone is trying to grab these players.
I thought that was a loan nak. If he's gone on a permanent then more fool him but I'm sure he is back at their place. We missed out on Edwards which was a mistake.
You could be right that its a loan but I still wouldnt want him here as hes right footed and at the moment we desperately need a left footed winger IMO
