Just seen the highlights on the WFC website.

'Sordul'? 'Bassani'? Sorry who are these people?

    Crap journalism.

I just watched the BBC highlights of the game on facebook, and IMO the penalty decision against Loach was rather harsh as he clearly gets to the ball first and the Millwall player just bundles into him.

    What do you guys think?

Just seen the highlights, I thought Loach had a really decent game. Considering the mistake he made against Spurs, he needed to redeem himself and he did just that. Great point blank save, normally you see the ball just hit the goalie and they don't have a clue, but Loach dived and got a very good hand to it. The penalty was really harsh on Loach, looks like he got to the ball first, but he should never have been put in that position. There were at least 3 Watford players that could have dealt with the ball, but all just left it. Good stop as well, not a great penalty, but if he had gone the other way it would have been in so well done Scott, great clean sheet and lets have another at home on Saturday.

Also I loved how Watford kept possession of the ball, Murray and Alex give us a whole new dimension, they both have great composure and can whip a nice ball in as well. Promising signs for a team that have jut lost their top scorer. COYH!

Noticable how the likes of Garner and Murray get the ball, look up and move forward into space. Kightly did this - and was more effective, but it's good to see positivity from our players. Suddenly we look a bit dangerous from open play. Once Deeney realises where the goal is we'll be flying....

It was a blatant penalty, only good thing was there was no goalscoring chance or he'd have been off.

We are starting to see the sort of Watford side now that many of us here cried out for back in the early weeks of the season..namely pacier, younger, hungrier and one devoid of Iwelumo, Yeates, Forsyth, ****inson etc

And some idiots will start praising Dyche for it, even though he is usually about 15 games behind the rest of us in seeing the problems and rectifying them.

I agree. These players tend to take the team down a level, there's a predictability and staleness when these players are in the team. I don't blame Dyche for bringing these players in, as three of them were proven Championship players and the other was rated quite highly at the time. They've not worked out though and I would be amazed if any were offered new contracts when they come to expire. Maybe Forsyth will improve as he has youth on his side, but he will never be a winger. Dyche tried a new direction, but it didn't work. Giving youth a chance seems to have had a positive affect.

Managing the team from your armchair, with hindsight on your side is an easy job. Dyche doesn't have that luxury and he has to try things out as he sees fit. I had my doubts at half time at Leicester, but since then the team has dramatically improved. It dipped again at the start of the year, but a positive change has been quickly found. This is Dyche's first go at management and he's had precious little money to bring in the necessary quality. He's had to cope with losing Graham, Cowie, Buckley and now Sordell. For us to be 9 points clear of relegation, sitting on 33 points with still 18 matches to play. I think he's done a bloody good job.

How can you bundle Yeates in with the "they've not worked out" comment? 3 league goals, 8 league assists, 2 cup assists and after Sordell our most shots on goal and target says different even if he is on the slow side.

Well, I guess Dyche has thought this too, or else he wouldn't have dropped him. I'm not saying he has been a complete disaster by any means though, and he does have some quality for sure. He even had some excellent games early on for us. But, from what I have seen of him recently, he's not consistant enough and has too many off days. Football is all about opinion and I think we would be better served with someone that has pace and is more direct. I predict Yeates and Iwelumo will not be offered new contracts once their 2 years are up. ****o is on 3 years, so he wont have to worry just yet and Forsyth maybe tried in a different position so could become useful at that point.
