It’s simple we win I’ll be in a good mood We lose my wife and kid are in for a grumpy time we win and other results go our way we will be back out of the bottom 3 We lose we stay where we are and everything looks that much harder Real shame Sarr is out he was starting to look very threatening and we where starting to score good old fashion goals got to keep up the hope, tough game but Watford 2 Everton 1
No we didn’t. He wanted to go, he had downed tools and there was questions marks over whether he was the real deal. Didn’t he go like 13 games without scoring in the end? He wasn’t even that impressive a footballer tbh, he had a knack for goals and had good movement but often showed poor technique and extremely poor temperament. If we held on to him for another season his value would’ve decreased as he had no interest in staying here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A lot worse than that, it was 25 games in 2017/18, though I haven't worked out how many of them were starts. In fairness he was only 20 and still raw and probably never will be an out-and-out striker (his best season in England being his debut at Everton when he scored 13 goals) but it's a shame his form went the way it did, like Iggy's in 2015/16. His early season sparkle and decline really mirrored the team's form and performances in 2017/18. Having said all that, watch him score a brace against us on Saturday! (While we win 3-2...)
Knack for goals at top level and good movement? 50m+ please! In all fairness he's pretty good, he can head it, kick it, put it in the net and dribble a bit. I can't see a Bale or Ronaldo or Salah or Suarez level of brilliance but at his age, with his attributes you can see why he'd be wanted. If the Barca rumours are true, It'll be interesting to see if he sulks until he is allowed to move.
Have they actually? Or is this heresay? Maybe Giraldi's been doing some moonlighting? Never a Barcelona player in a million years.
Injury update - no Sarr or Kiko, but Welbeck and Hughes should be in the squad. Cleverley is training again but not quite ready this weekend.
Should ? Probably won't be then! Be handy to have Welbeck back though if he can last any amount of time staying fit. Kiko was in training a few weeks back - what happened ?
Welbz being back will be like a new signing. Well, a loan signing where he gets injured after 20 seconds and gets sent back to his parent club.
TBF if, and it's an enormous if, we've found some magic dust that keeps Welbeck fit and playing then we have a top class forward on our hands
If I had £1 for every player we’ve had this season who is ‘back and looking good in training - but not quite ready to be involved’, I’d have afforded to pay for us to get Paco Alcacer. Or 50,000 U23’s no one wants.
It's the same as anyone suggesting for one second that Welbeck will be a dependable addition for us or 'like a new signing'; he'll be paralysed by the half on Saturday, no question.
