I'm going to take a guess and suggest that we won't see Sarr for a while: He has a hamstring problem and they famously cannot be rushed. It depends, of course, how seriously he injured it, but he's Road Runner and relies on speed to create problems - all the more likely to re-damage it. I fully sympathise with those who are anxious for his return. I have this feeling he is going to be frequently injured - his speed invites fouls and these can create build-ups of problems.
On review, The Jeck has got the smudgy fingerprints of Hornet23 all over it. I've never seen HB1 use a word like 'stacked'.
We will struggle without Sarr. No outlet on the right, no tracking back and no aggression. Pereyra would prefer to be at the hair salon than playing wide right and being asked to defend. Teams will know they have nothing to worry about upfront from Watford. Sarr gave us something different and we will certainly miss him on the pitch . We will now have to tough it out and hope we can sneak a goal.
You can put him back on ignore, this is his source. https://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Premier+League/Watford?type=ln
He defended very well and worked hard, but did nothing going forward. I am not criticising him, I think it was the job he was given.
I don't know why so many are pessimistic about this game. Apart from Newcastle and Norwich at home, I'd say it's the most winnable of our remaining fixtures, of which the rest are against teams above Everton, away or both. We shouldn't let our first defeat in seven dampen our spirits, and if the players have any fighting mentality they won't either. At Villa it was more a case of us beating ourselves than Villa doing anything special or us lacking quality or being really unlucky. At the Vic, which has been a fortress and has only seen one goal in the league by the opposing team since Flores got the boot, we'll have 18k or so fans behind us so won't be sitting back. I'm not saying Everton will be easy, but they've been like Chelsea were when Mourinho got fired and Hiddink took over - going on a solid run to pull away from relegation danger without being scintillating. As long as we get the first goal and have the combined focus and desire we've been showing for the vast majority of the last two months, then a win certainly shouldn't be beyond us.
So if it’s the most winnable of our remaining games and we don’t win, how confident of survival will you be ?
I said it was the third most winnable. A draw and it depends on how we perform and results elsewhere. A defeat and even if we play well, I'll be pretty worried even in the unlikely event that Bournemouth and West Ham get no points this week.
Many on here are saying it’s a must win game. So I would assume they would all agree we will be relegated if we don’t win. * @LondonOrn just said it was a very good chance to win a game.i think it is more likely a draw and still survival, *the same people have made other games must win games, which we didn't win, and yet we aren't relegated yet #fakenewsifwedontwinwearedown
If Sarr is out for 6 weeks it’s possible we will not see him again. We will be back to the players who failed so comprehensively under Flores before Pearson gave Sarr a run in the team. Add to that the fact that the club seemingly aren’t interested in upgrading any of these players and it looks bleak. Sarr won’t play in the Championship.
6 weeks from the injury only takes us to the first week of March, missing 4 fixtures. I’m not saying that is good but it seems quite a stretch to suggest we won’t see him again.
Nope I’m just making things up. But I can see this one turning into a Success type scenario where he is always one week away from full training!
Doubt Sarr will feature for us again this season, making it more likely that we won't survive in the prem. He came to this country for the allure of Premier League football. There will be no lack of top flight clubs showing interest in him this coming summer, and as Mr Jumbolina says, he will not be playing for us in the Championship.
Nothing anywhere on Everton sites about Richarlison being out for this - he has been back in training this week
Amazing how quickly all that feel good factor post Muff has evaporated. In the same time AV have beaten us to climb out of the bottom 3 and got to wemberley. Such a shame we lost that 12 pointer. This match is now a 15 pointer. Everyone need to put in at least 120% effort.
Hard to believe that if we'd have beaten villa we'd be looking forward to another cup final v man city now.
