Prodl on the bench?! Richarlison and Gray were always likely to only be subs so I was braced for that. Don't rate Success tbh so not disappointed he's not involved. I wanted to see Hughes at least on the bench though.
Not that concerned about Success, he hasn't clicked yet but Hughes looked like one of the more assured players in Pre-Season.
Saving the best players for the harder games? Silva must think this team is good enough to take down the scousers. No need to put our best team out for this one.
Any excitement I did have for this game has just been sucked out. Might as well throw in towel now with Kaboul and Britos in the starting line-up. They are in for a torrid time with the pace of Salah and Mane. Very surprised that Success and Hughes are nowhere to be seen, especially as we have Capoue and Watson on the bench. Personally think we only needed one of them. I was feeling pretty good about today's game until now. With that line-up we will be lucky to get a draw. Cleverley in the advance role just won't work. I literally think Silva has thrown this game just to prove that he needs some better additions to the starting 11, reminding the board that defensively we look awful. At least my booooo boy (Kaboul) is starting, so I have something to do all game and post about how he is a donkey.
Dont like the Look of Okaka up on his own, Nor do I like the lack of Prodl in the starting 11. Fullbacks fine, CBs are awful, Midfield is alright i guess, Would have loved to see hughes instead of cleverly, But if he is injured or something I can understand. Would be exciting to see Femenia / Richarlison come on in the last 30-20 minutes and abuse there pace.
I'd say home to Liverpool is an ideal game to play counter .... so he fills the team with slow players . Silva out . Enough is enough
