To be fair he's double the player he was before he went inside. I don't know what they feed them in HMP Soap-on-a-Rope but it's clearly good stuff.

Didn't Ekstrand sign a pre contract at the start of the season?

When you watch the penalty in slow motion Knockeart executes a perfect Ashley Young "star dive" how did the referee fall for it?

The ref didn't fall for it, he preyed for it. He likes the big dramatic moments does Mr Oliver.

Have to admit that my initial reaction was that it was a penalty - I was looking in the middle to see who AK would square it to, if anyone, and I caught a quick glance of Cassetti's arm coming down as AK hit the deck in spectacular fashion.

It was only once I saw the replay that I realised what a horrendous cheat of a dive it was.

Each day ESPN Sportscenter (Sky Sports News type channel) does a "Top 10 plays" from the previous day. Deeney's goal made number 1, beating out action from the NBA and NHL play-offs. I was getting texts all day from people who have no idea about soccer, but saw the goal on TV and recognized the name of the team I support. Unreal.

Totally agree with that comment I was going to post much the same thing :sign15: MV really came to life after that, all of a sudden he seemed extra determined he was not going to let us down and boy oh! boy he didn't

I think had we given the wrong reaction to that miss, we would all be crying in our beer right now, instead of spilling it everywhere in celebration!!!

Seeing your name whilst browsing through this thread, reminded me of something slightly off topic, which is I think we have a nick name for Anya?

I was watching "Pointless" on TV last night and discovered that an "Anya" is a variety of potato!!!

So surely it has to be Ikechi "SPUD" Anya from now on!!! Or just plain "SPUD"

To be fair he was a bit like that before this season but he has realy improved this season. This could be because he never realy got much of a game in the past so he had less of an oportunity to show what he was capable of, this year since he has been released fom prison he has been one of our most important players and I also think that his movement is great he causes problems for defenders and works very well with Vydra, easily the best strike partnership in the championship. He has also shown recently that he is a leader amongst our players.

Having watched the videos so many times you expect to see nothing new - however, when you watch the Deeney goal again, look at how the two defenders on the line move out of the way when the shot is coming in... Fantastic! No wonder Schmeichal went berserk at them, just before the hoards came on!

I cant stop laughing at the leciester fans who think it was a penalty just because cassetti put his hand on knockcry. What so is football on non contact sport now then? Is it immediately a foul if you touch someone? Some of them are trying to claim that his arm was around his neck!!!! Unbelievable stupidity. If that was the other way round and Watford got given a penalty for that they would be going nuts. It makes it so much sweeter that if he didnt DIVE then we wouldnt have gone up the other end and scored hahaha!! Favourite football moment of all time and certainly one of the best day of my life. Cheers Knockhaert never guna forget you!!

35 years I've been going near enough. Home and away to some god awful parts of the country through snow, rain, fuel strikes etc and I chose this last week to be on holiday! I am chuffed to bits we won but there is tinge of sadness or more likely jealousy that I missed it. To make it worse, when the penalty was given I walked out of the bar in disgust that our season would end on a decision like that, so in fact missed the whole drama!

Mate-i cannot imagine how you feel but like your "story" about the attendance at that fantastic game back in 1980 there were just under 16k that night and many more will feel/say they were there on Sunday-you tube has over 1 million views of it so far and everyone is talking about it.

You are a true Watford fan and whilst you cannot be put into a time machine and go back 60 hours you will feel a lot better when you cheer them on at Wembley and in time it will feel like you were there with us on Sunday.COYH

Leicester City, the gift that never stops giving! Walked into my local tonight and bumped into one of the backroom staff from Leicester City - I asked him to pass on my best wishes to Mr Knockeart, which he promised to do...

Apparently Nigel Pearson was gutted that Hull had gone up instead of us, they (Leicester) all thought we were a much better side than Hull.

It appears they have brought in a Director of Football (Tony Robinson from Stoke), a bit old school - it will be interesting to see how he and NP get on.

I've always enjoyed going to see us play at Leicester, despite it not being a particularly lucky ground for us.
