Is that the diet that Delia will be serving up in order to get an advantage. I really am in a quandary with this game. Wife goes into hospital on Thursday for a hip replacement, I have an appointment at Barnet hospital on Monday to get the results of a CT scan after a collapsed lung in September, the weather forecast is for dark clouds and rain on Saturday and some idiot decided to make this a19:45 kick off. Sounds like there may be trouble ahead so who cares what the result will be. HELP………
I wouldn’t be surprised if our players get up for this and win at a canter, before putting in below par performances in the next 2.
Has Kabasele bottled it (again) or has he been dropped by Bilic? He could be injured of course but that doesn't fit my agenda so it's off the table.
He's fit and raring to go. Unfortunately the late kick off on Saturday is past his bedtime, as is the Millwall kick off so he wont be involved in either game. I'm expecting him to bag a hat-trick against the turds from up the road though.
We really are so lucky to have Andrew French and his tenacious, forensic journalism - signing of the summer transfer window.
Well I guess the best way to avoid any vocal punishment from the fans' tomorrow night for his performances is to get injured. Well done Kabasele. Football dark arts at it's best. Btw that injury list for Mid October is sickening. that has to be 50% of our first team out. What a club.
Did his hamstring in the build up to the second goal, in fairness watching the goal back you can see where he reaches for his hamstring just before he stops running.
so some combination of Cathcart, Pollock and WTE as the two centerbacks. Flanked by out of position Gosling again and not as good as we all thought Kamara
And nearly all with the same injury! Another damning indication that our conditioning and training isnt right
I don't buy Kabasele being injured during the build up to Blackpool's second for one second. Very convenient given the dogs abuse he rightly got. Sounds like he's been taken out of the firing line.
Has there been a season where Cathcart, Cleverley and Kabasele haven't all been injured at the same time? I really don't know why we bother with them.
I don't think it's happened before, and it goes to show the fitness of our players this season as a whole. I do remember one season under GT where he came out and said "we are down to our bare bones" after we lost at Bolton (cannot remember the actual season it was) - that was pretty bad injury wise back then but I think this is worse if you take into account the recovery time these days, not to mention when players' sub themselves off <cough>Kiko<cough>.
I dont think this time it's to do with the medical team. My view is the players dont want to play/cant be bothered enabled by our management structure and practice. They show on the pitch that they dont care at all. In a functioning team if you are 90% fit then if needed you may well play Lots of these guys are swinging the lead in my opinion with no consequences. Further evidence is they are all miraculously better when called up for their country and then injured again on return. "Owww my hamstring, guess Ill have to sit as many games as I like out, and still get paid, rather than put the effort in and risk getting abuse" If the coach calls them out then so what? He'll be replaced soon. Rinse and repeat. Steal a living. 5 year contract.
I agree and that mentalilty is almost always seen with our more "senior" players (Kalu included ). Nobody can avoid the aging process, but they are still employed as part of this squad and as such should be pulling up trees to wear that yellow shirt each game. Passion as certainly dwindled from the older players, who are just coasting through their contracts on the road to retirement. Any younger players' do we have are not getting game time or are just no ready yet. Morris, Pollock, TDB and Hungbo could well be the core of our side in seasons to come, and at least they show effort when they have been included. Managers will always have a preferred eleven. Look at Foster last season - total example of how to not give a sh** regardless of our current predicimants.
While he may have tweaked something, it didn't stop him running around on it for another 15 minutes. We had another sub to use, if the injury was bad enough to keep him out of a game a whole week later then he would have been taken off.
I think he's quite rightly been dropped by Bilic but he's trying not to throw Kabasele under the bus in front of the media.
Looking at the defence on the teamsheet always fills me with nerves but that prospect takes it to the next level.
Good to see Pedro back - him, Sarr, Davis and Louza might work well together. But then no point in them making chances if we aren't going to defend well. I thought at the time they said Cleverley was only going to be a few days/weeks? Can see it now - rush Cathcart or Gaspar back then they pull up injured during the game.
I think they said Pedro would be involved so may well start on the bench. We will need to score about 6 to outscore NCFC.
Off to Roehampton for a 40s semi final. Not sure if I'll be back for kick off. Let's hope the team are !
There will be 5 ‘Pozzo Out’ signs - none bigger than A3-sized. Watford will limp to a humiliating 0-3 defeat. There will be approximately 2 seconds of faint booing at FT, quickly drowned out by braindead applause.
There will be more ‘please can I have your shirt’ begging signs by the same ‘kids’ in the EJ Stand than there will be Pozzo Out ones. Which will probably sum up our supporter base quite nicely.
