I thought this vs. Sampdoria. I often saw him pop up and assumed it was Gray. Too fast for Deeney but too good a touch for Gray.

Lack of summer signings already showing. Gray ineffectual, Deeney enormous. Hughes' attempt to score with his right foot was easily the worst thing I've ever seen on a football pitch. Going to be a long season.

 

Of course he isn't. I know he was crap last year, but there was no way the Pozzos were going to transfer him out for nothing.

 

Holebas got the assist though. Nice of Brighton to give us the first half by treating it as a pre-season so far.
