Absolutely nothing was good enough today. Subs too late. Flat forward line. Long ball. Team body language. All woeful.

Crikey this team is sleepwalking to relegation

No doubt Pearson will send the subs, who were desperate to play and looked up for it when they came on, to the slaughter at Chelsea to protect our precious first team's little feelings.

    Pearson is a myth.

Woeful all over. Our crap players were crap and our crap players who get hyped up were crap. Let’s not forget this shower have turned up for about 6 games this season under three different managers.

The squad has had a really soft underbelly for a few years, with just enough grit and talent to get away with it but no longer. Capoue played a pass to Sarr against Leicester that had a few fanboys w4nking themselves silly yet the bloke can’t put a ball in the box from a set play. Sarr is turning into an incredibly expensive sulk. Deulofeu and Pereyra have wimped out of everything in front of them. Masina, Femenia, Cathcart and Dawson simply aren’t good enough. You might get away with one of those in a back 4, but not all of them. The only ability our squad has is to lump it to Deeney and even then we don’t play for knock downs.

Soft as ****, all of them. See you at Rotherham.

I don't think it's about age. Looks more like lack of fitness/ preparation, which is inexcusable. Play 2 teams in a week, neither have anything to play for, yet both show more desire than our useless ****s. Can't see us staying up tbh.

We'll look back on this season as a wasted opportunity to kick on. Back to Championship mediocrity for the foreseeable based on this evidence. Hard to find any positives. Anyone think of any?

Ings interview now - they watched us and knew we’d hit it long and they needed to fight for the 2nd ball. And that’s it - easy to read and easy to beat.

Sack Pearson tonight. He has no idea how to change things. His style and tactics are for Chesham Sunday League Division 2 and he just stands there on the sidelines. Get some passion, shout at them, show these spineless turds that these performances aren’t good enough.
We are done. Back to playing QPR next season

I'm pretty much convinced that the squad have conspired to get us relegated as early as possible so we don't have to deal with 'the bantz' from Arsenal fans if they send us down on the last day of the season. Considerate.

Disgraceful. We need to gut this squad including Deeney. If that were to happen if we go down is debatable as I can't see who would want them. The key for me is removing Deeney, and removing Pozzo/Giraldi. Probably a pipe dream. Pearson starting to look pretty clueless as well. For the first time in 40 years I hate this club.

Sleepwalking? Wilfully jumping headfirst towards relegation.

And everyone involved deserves it. The fans that happy clap them off, the owners who couldn't give a **** and the players who think they'll walk into another club.

From pushing for Europe to Luton away in 2 seasons. Well done everyone.

Even with that penalty we would have lost 3-2 ..

Or they might have not scored OG.

    It’s all so ucking wrong.

Pearson looked liked he didn’t give a toss. I couldn’t see him shouting any encouragement. You could hear Ralph shouting throughout. NP doesn’t look motivated, I wonder if something’s happened behind the scenes. He was the first down the tunnel.

Deeney appalling. Total lack of leadership from the captain no encouragement or energy. No team spirit on display. Hughes was the only player I saw trying to gee up teammates so inevitably he was subbed (wtf?).

As for the substitutions why on earth did NP wait till the 73rd minute.

The whole psychology was wrong before the season even resumed. The messages coming out from the club were about why football did not matter in the face of CV19 which whilst they may have had a point psychologically it doesn’t give the message of team eager to play but instead getting excuses in. I’ve heard little from Deeney about the team and the fight although seems lots of statements about other numerous social issues.

    Going down like BHS.

Troy "I can get fit in two weeks, me, so the break isn't a problem" Deeney is so out of shape but it's worse than that, much worse.

Apart from moronically fouling someone in the second half he didn't close a single defender down. He didn't offer the slightest bit of encouragement to any team mates, but just sulked on the floor as yet again someone beat him to a header.

He even had the cheek to throw his hands up in the air and give Sarr a filthy look when one of his crosses sailed out. Where was our captain, leader, legend at the time? Poised to attack it at the back post? Nope, he wasn't even in the box and had about three players in between him and Sarr.

Interesting that he doesn't do any of this chasing defenders down, giving people a hard time when there's no crowd. You've been conned, it's all for show and to distract from his rubbish performances.

Hope Gray, Chalobah and Quina never wear the shirt again either. In a relegation fight and they go out for a party against the lockdown rules. Club had no choice but to drop them. All 3 are a disgrace.

Pearson is a pashun merchant with a hipster turn of phrase and a somewhat undeserved reputation for saving relegation-threatened teams, when he's done it basically once with a team that included Vardy and Mahrez and went on a totally unprecedented purple patch that carried on rolling until they won the title the following bloody season. We don't have a style of play, we don't even have any fight or positive mentality; quite the opposite in fact. If we didn't have that total freak of a result against Liverpool, I think he'd honestly be gone/going, and who gives a **** at this point how many coaches that would have made.

Every single man on that pitch looked utterly clueless, it was a shambles; truly pathetic. A disgusting performance. All we had to do was have a plan and show some commitment and effort in these two games and we could have been safe, but instead we showed just how laughable we are.

Foster - great handling and a few good saves. 7.5
Masina - always a threat and linked up expertly with whoever was playing left mid. 7.0
Cathcart - looked like the young man he was when on loan at the vic. I'd offer a new 2 year contract extension. 8.0
Dawson- has been relegated before but assured and hardly let Ings out his pocket all game, aside from the 2 goals and a couple of other chances. 7.5
Femenia - industrious. Highlight was a series of throw ins he won in stoppage time that showed hia tenacity. A tenacious 7.0
Hughes - a bit below the standards he usually sets, probably upset about being undeservedly being shunned for England. 6.5
Capoue - calmness personified, held his position beautifully and never got caught out in attack when needed. Customary one perfect long pass in the 2nd half, too classy for us. 8.0
Doucoure - as his song goes, never gives the ball away, although im not sure he touched it much aside for the shot that went for a throw. 8.0
Pererya - boooooooooooo. Say the boo boys, but was the most creative player in the first half. 7.5
Sarr - What. A. Player he will be when we sell him to a decent side like Southampton. Crossing was much better today. 7.5.
Deeney - bossed their defenders and would have acored if Holebas had pulled it back 30 yards out for our goal. Or if he got the ball in their box just once. 9.0

People will still defend him and he will still start every single game. The fans let him off because of their rose tinted glasses for him for what he was YEARS AGO, and his contract must dictate he starts/plays a certain amount of time.

Fighting a losing battle looking for change in regards to that useless fat ****.

Positive for me right now is genuinely the Championship. Don’t get me wrong, it’s less quality and we’ll get less coverage, we’d also have lower ability players BUT I worked out the other day, even taking into account the Covid break - we’ve been able to celebrate a league win less than once a calendar month. It’s painful.

I looked at the championship table earlier, even teams in the bottom half had won twice as many games. Games can be quite turgid, but, every game is an achievable win. You could end anywhere from 1st to 24th.

If there is any hope at all that remains, it is that we have some talented youngsters / second string players. We now have to play them - it's a roll of the dice, but if we keep playing this line-up in this system, we've already lost.

Play Pedro over RP. Play Welbeck over Deeney. If Quina/Chalobah are forgiven, play one of them. Play Pussetto. Give Peneranda some time. They aren't as tainted by this dreadful team spirit, they have something to prove, they have flair. It's the only way we're going to outmanoeuvre opposition teams, who currently know EXACTLY how we will play and how to nullify us.

Absolutely disgraceful today and we fully deserve to go down as things stand.

More crap tactics than crap players imo. The whole long to Deeney thing... Wtf? Let's not forget, we've never seen such an array of individual talent at Watford before. But, no one has managed to mould that talent into a consistently effective team. BTW, what has the Southampton mafia got on Cathcart?
