With the line up we faced I didn't expect anything, Hughes poor shot after 10 minutes should have been on target. I didn't watch the second half.

 

What a thoroughly depressing 90 minutes.

Just about the only positive I guess is that many of us will have got some good Fantasy Football points out of it,

An anxious time now watching Villa. I’d go so far as to say that if Villa do win, that’s curtains for us.

The big question will be do we have one big performance left in us at the time it will matter the very most. Deeney won a few headers, so yay, but City were playing such a high line that our only hope was a ball in behind and pacey players getting onto it, so I'm not sure why we were trying the Deeney hold up tactic.
