At least he's trying something different. Could be interesting. Capoue injured? I'd have dropped AD instead personally. Welbeck and Gray up top could be decent.

At least he's realised that Femenia is absolute dog turd. I give him a big thumbs up for that.

 

For real? Got to give him a chance to try something different.

 

It’s like in Football Manager when you start getting desperate and change your formation every game without giving the players a chance to get used to it.

 

Janmaat and Holebas in particular don't really like defending, and Janmaat in particular can be dangerous going forward. It'll be more 3 at the back than 5.

 

Quina can't even get on the bench.

 

And dropping Dawson, that's a big thumbs up from me as well.

That decision alone gives me some faith in QSF.

It remains to be seen how Prodl does on his return, but touch wood Cathcart and Kabs do okay and so retain their places ahead of CD when we return to a back four.

 

Trying to match formation against a team that has mastered that formation is just strange though. Glad to see Dawson and Kiko out but this is Stoke-esque.

 

We're matching up against Sheff Utd's formation - it really isn't uncommon for teams to do that against sides who ritualistically play 5-3-2.

Trying to catch them out. It may work. Surely the definition of madness is repeatedly trying the same thing, despite constant failure?
