Watford 0-2 Mk Dons - League Cup - 23/08/2022

For once I'd like to say a good and interesting line-up for this round of the cup which will test out quite a few who should be aspiring to be in Edwards' starting 11 in the Championship. In recent years we seem to have picked teams of juniors and no-hopers just to lose.

I may be mistaken, I'll defer to the authority of those who have actually gone to the game, but based on the commentary it doesn't sound like Asprilla has been blameless either. Commentary seems to have mentioned him losing the ball and tackles a few times.

 

This was a pretty strong team all things consider. It's a bit embarrassing to be losing here (mean no disrespect to MK Dons of course). Bayo and Manaj are definitely not good enough if they're struggling here too. Hopefully Davies will come good.
