Leicester smashing Huddersfield and getting their GD up now. I said a while back they’d go on a run, just after we beat them actually. Fancy them for 7th right now.

Well I never! Palace get another Zaha-related penalty. Who'd have thought it....

    Peep! Penalty Palace. Zaha savaged.

  6. If we win all our remaining matches no one can stop us getting 7th. It's in our hands, and our own fault if we don't.

Huddersfield are comfortably the worst team I’ve ever seen us play in this league. I think they’ll struggle badly in The Championship next season.

We’ve certainly got our mojo back since we sacked Claude the Fraud. European football would be lovely but as always there’s the concern that it will torpedo the league campaign. We’ll need several more attacking players to make it work and with a new training ground being built I can’t see us spending too much this summer. All I want is Tielemans on a permanent, he’s a very special player.

Why don't they change their name to 'Crystal Penalty' and be done with it?!

I think they have had 11 this season and 10 last-we have had one this season and 5 last season. Today was their only shot on target according to BBC stats-it must be their game plan

Nice comment just now on the BBC news channel with the sports presenter saying Zaha does what he does best!

    Winning a penalty for Palace..

Their last 3 games will decide whether they’re able to stay in the race or not - Arsenal (h), Man City (a) and Chelsea (h).

It was about as 100% penalty as you’re likely to see. As much as he does occasionally go down a bit easy he is also expert at extracting the most ridiculous tackles.

Crazee jumps in the air when he sees the defender closing in.

Any contact will see him poleaxed.

Went under the radar but an absolutely ridiculous dive from Josh King yesterday. No penalty but didn’t receive the deserved yellow card for his shameful cheating. What a serial offender King is.

    Down to 10th.

    Howe’s Muff are a disgrace.

Limited team with an unseemly ‘down the bottom of the hill’ Chesham manager.

  19. Who the hell plans a London derby on a Monday night where everyone can get to and from the game in a relatively decent time?!

    Games gone mad.

West Ham losing means that by the time we get to Monday we can't be lower than 10th.

    Rivals' fixtures:

    Leicester v Newcastle (Friday)
    Fulham v Everton
    Southampton v Wolves
    Man United v West Ham

I don’t know if many of you do Linked In.

I was cruising around on there today & this big noise popped up.

Central casting for a ‘face’ in hair dressing.

    Indeed, it was Steve Parish.

Weirdly, the Brentford ceo has just become my bestie.

Pondering a bid for Maupay before shopping him on to Gino.

Parish is at Palace, not Brentford.

    Brentford's CEO is Varney.

Not that it changes your story much either way, but I was momentarily confused...

Leicester lost at home to Newcastle tonight, it keeps the race for seventh wide open.

They're 1 point ahead of us and we have played 2 matches fewer.

Newcastle are a strange team, at times they look like relegation certainties like at the start of the season and around the time we won at SJP last season, but at other times they can compete against anyone, even beating Man City.

Anyway, fantastic result for both them and us, and with Leicester's tough run-in we can probably rule them out.

Hate to say it, but could Everton nick 7th place? They've played one more game than us, but they have a similar run-in in terms of average position of opponents.

The only slight downside is that if we don't get seventh, then I'd rather Leicester got it than either Wolves, Everton or West Ham.

Great to see Leicester lose tonight.

I had Talk***** on the radio earlier today. It was Gough and Durham. They were talking about the teams chasing 7th place. They talked about Leicester, and Durham says he thinks he's in love with them!!. Gough then joined in with massive praise for Wolves and Everton. They spoke about all these clubs for at least a minute, then Gough piped up...oh and Watford, but they've overachieved. That was all they said about Watford.....lol. It's just funny now.

Leicester win 4 on the spin, and each game was an easy fixture, and Durham was stating they'd be in the top 4 next season after the brilliant job Rodgers is doing. Maybe he'll change his mind after tonight's result.

I just don't understand why we're so dismissed by virtually everyone, even at this late stage of the season. Gough supports Barnsley and Durham is Peterborough, so it's not like they follow a top six side and have no idea what it's like for a smaller club.

I think we just seem to press the "boring, can't stand them" box for most neutral fans.

....and you’re surprised that you were confronted by uninformed ********? I can’t for the life of my understand why people listen to that garbage, let alone complain about it after.

Horrible game of football tonight, one team utterly clueless, the other with a perfect lesson in anti-football.
