Went clubbing for the first time last night.

was pretty good, except i took a wrong turning on the way to the toilets and went out the exist and had to pay another £4 to gain entry. Pisstake.

 

I heard a rumour you got chucked out for dealing drugs.

 

Did they not stamp your hand or anything?

 

They did, but they still charged me £4 again.

Should've made a deal out of that, they'll eventually throw you back inside.

Simms, you should ask for the shot we made up at uni.

Shot of sambuca, shot of black aftershock and shot of tequila in one glass. If you know someone on the bar they will double it up. It costs about a fiver but it is pretty horrendous. Its like a glass of spirits. In fact that is exactly what it is.

The two times I felt man enough to do a few of them the entire night was a blank and very unpleasant things occurred both nights. Good stuff.

 

urgh cant drink sambouca any more! had a particularly rough night of beer bong with just sambuca a few weeks ago, i dont think anyone remembered finishing the game haha.

 

Sambuca is horrible stuff. I remember we had a leaky optic and sambuca was dripping through it. Within seconds of it hitting the bar, it would congeal... eugh.

 

Agree with you there optimistic, I can't drink it anymore either. Normally I'm alright with Sambuca, but in Cancun about 2 weeks ago I had a double (that was more like a quadruple) which I can imagine was the closest thing i've ever drunk to aviation fuel. I was close to puking, which is unusual for me. I have vowed never again to touch the stuff.

 

Same with me a jager. Horrible horrible stuff. Just tastes like poison.

 

After me and 2 others went through a whole bottle of the stuff on friday night before hitting Southampton, I can assure that isn't the case! Wonderful stuff.

 

I did 4 jagerbombs and had 3 pints of cider and passed out at my 18th, since then i can't touch either of them.

 

I've had similar with Vodka, can't drink it straight at all.

 

What's the hate on Jaeger and Vodka!? I always drink them straight now my throats a mess, weirdly I quite like straight vodka, normally drink about half a bottle before I go out and I'm a lightweight! Jaegerbombs in fact are very nice.

Coupled with no food, because i passed out before the bbq got going.

Nothing wrong with being a lightweight. If drinking to get drunk is your bag then it makes it cheap.

On the odd occasion I intend to get hammered it takes bloody ages and costs a small fortune:drinking:

 

Having not drunk a whole lot in third year, and drunk almost nothing since I left, I'm now a lightweight. I think it is great, it costs hardly anything to get drunk. Used to be hideously expensive.

Don't really enjoy drinking now anyway, so I don't.

 

Fair play. The older I get the less I'm enjoying getting drunk and the more I'm regretting it the morning after. Beer is definitely a drink to savour and experience thing for me now, rather than a mood enhancer or party starter.

 

No idea. Maybe post-grad stuff. Maybe a PHD.

Indeed. Also being underweight has its advantages!

 

I still enjoy a drink as much as ever, but I am finding the older I get the less I can sleep when I have had a beer. If I have a beer free Friday night I will be able to sleep in until 9/10 on the Saturday, but if I have a few beers I will be wide awake by 7.

 

What are the plans for the weekend Simbo ?

 

This is always an issue with me. Ruins saturday morning lie ins.

 

No idea birdy. Going on a pub crawl tonight with the philosophy society though.

 

I always stayed clear of societies.

They were full of the sort of people who like to put their **** in someone else's drink. In fact, get their **** out at any opportunity.

 

I like to think philosophers have an increased moral awareness and wouldn't do things like that.

Im probably wrong however.

 

They probably just end up thinking about doing it.

 

Their motto is "I drink therefore I am".

 

You'd have though they'd have philosophised over an original one.
