Summer Werewolf 2023 - Day Two

The night air turned cold. Otter was lounging in his garden, half dozing next to his chiminea when he decided to pop inside his house for a dressing gown. Returning to the garden he sat himself down with a fresh cup of earl grey tea.

"This is the life." He mused to himself feeling the warming embrace of the tea, fire and dressing gown.

Closing his eyes he began to drift off embracing the bliss. A few minutes later he was awoken to a deep growl emanating from his garage. He sat bolt up right and scanned for a weapon to use. Aha he thought, the aloe Vera, which he was gifted by his work colleagues. Stooping, he picked up the terracotta pot and hastily made his way to garage in the shadows.

Steadying himself he reached his free hand to the double doors that were now trembling as though something was trying to free itself. He took a deep breath, raised the pot and opened the doors.

As soon as he did, his ride on lawn mower came trundling out heading towards the back garden. He must have left the keys in the ignition, he mused to himself as he began to chase after the machine before it ran rampant in his flower bed.

He was within a couple of yards of mower when out of nowhere he felt a violent slash across his back. This sent him sprawling several yards further into the garden in front of the mower.

Quickly regaining his senses, he tried to move but his arms and legs wouldn't respond to him. Peering into the darkness he could make out the shapes of two monstrous figures watching as the lawn mower thundered towards him.

Otter was Good.

Mike knew what to do. He had prepared for this his entire life. He picked up his shield and sword, both blessed by the local clergy, and went his way to protect the village.

He knew who he had to protect first, Steve Leo Beleck. All night he patrolled outside SLB's house ready to repel any intruder but the only disturbance that night was a tense standoff with a badger. Those things are vicious.

As dawn began to break he knew his job was done and retreated home for a few hours of much needed slumber.

His phone vibrated in his pocket, reaching down he retrieved the device and saw he had a text message from the contact saved with a love heart ❤️.

"I'm at yours, I've let myself in and I'm slipping into something more comfortable x"

Mike's luck was in, he'd successfully saved someone's life tonight, from a badger, and his beau was waiting back at his for him!

Mike jogged most of the way home, only stopping a hundred yards from his house as not to appear to eager. He composed himself, got his breath back and let himself in.

"'Ello love, I'm home." He said kicking his shoes off. He could hear the shower running upstairs.

"Leave it on, I'll come join you." He took the stairs two at a time whilst taking his top off. Temporarily blinded he misjudged a step and tumbled back down falling half a dozen steps landing on his backside.

He picked himself up, rubbing his posterior. I really need that shower now he thought. Again he traversed the stairs, a lot more carefully this time and stumbled into the bathroom. The first thing he had noticed was the smell. It almost smelt of wet dog mixed with a more metallic twang. Ignoring this he removed the remaining items of clothing and joined his beloved in the shower.

But it wasn't who he thought it was, instead it was a hulking wolf. Before Mike could scream, a paw shot out and covered his mouth.

"Giz a kiss" the wolf taunted.

Miked was Very GOOD.

Day two has begun.

 

****. That's not good at all. Thought that was going well.

So we have lost 3 good.
2 wolves know each other on the 2nd day.

BUT
It does help us in terms of the messages quite a lot.
Need to get lucky today and hope the seer picks well.

Morning all. RIP Otter and Mike. A terrible first night - two decent players gone, no guardian and two of the wolves know each other. These wolves know what they’re doing - Ashdon, Otter and Mike are all really good at this game and tend to be led by logic, rather than hysterical theories. At least Ashdod’s demise told us which message was which - hopefully that move by the Alpha was too punchy too early.

 

True - or you wrote the message saying Ashdon was evil and it was a double bluff.
Edit: I’ve just seen that can’t be the case as you have announced who the wolves are - oh, and I’m one of them! My bad.

It is your Seer here. We still have little concrete to go on. I have viewed Tom on a gut instinct as he is flying under the radar.
He is GOOD. Our luck must change soon.

Wolf's choice. (Not the name of a book as fair as I am aware and I darent Google it)

 

I don't think the code will identify the seer, it has been used previously so they can identify themselves later in the game if needed.

 

As has been pointed out we have lost 3 good logical players and need to stick to logic if we can

I'm beyond dispair. Could last night of gone any worse? Two of the furries know eachother, we lose our source of protection and day two opens with us losing a third of our village capacity. RIP to the three who have passed. I will make flowers and arrangements for all the fallen. I am going to ignore the numbers in the first message, as many have said it is a waste of time to focus on it. I think it's in our best interest to try to pull together as a group and get some pay back on these Wolves tonight. Raise a glass of mead at Happy's Inn for the lost and let's fight back in their honor.
