Someone needs to upload this map in Doom.

LOL at the plastic garden chairs in the SEJ Suite.:D The rest of it is a bit 70s shag pad isn't it.

    Shagtastic.. i love it!

Ok the chairs in the EJ suit let the side down somewhat and the FX PRo Suite is a bit "Gentlemens club".. but the newer parts are very swish and modern.
It's the stuff on the walls that i like best though. I'd kill for some of that decor and that FX PRo Suite Vic Road wallpaper is bloody brilliant.

Bit surprised the club haven't formally announced further expansion at the Vic yet. I know Duxbury has talked in very general terms of his plans but that seems to be sum total of it. We're in touching distance of a 4th year at this level but realistically any further substantial expansion won't be ready until late next season or the following one now. I guess it's a difficult call to make - give the go ahead and if we're relegated a lot of seats will be empty. But stay as we are and it's self-limiting.

We have had three different seasons in the P.L. However it appears the Ponzo's model works, therefore not sure how easy it is to put another level on the E.J. stand but if it can be done without causing too much disruption to that stand then starting towards the end of a season it should be ready by September at the latest! hopefully that would be in their thoughts for 12 months time!

As I said in a previous thread, if Everton are the prems 7th team, we are the premierships 10th team now

Couple of aerial shots of the Vic - one from the highlights vid (presumably via the BT drone), and another photo posted on the official site:

Incidentally - the Twitter account iAmAHornet - from which I've posted many aerial shots - now comes up as account suspended, hence why the hot linked images have disappeared:(.

The chairs in the Elton John Suite are a white version of The Ghost Chair by Phillipe Starck and are probably £200 each!

When i first starting using Ebay, about 15 years ago, there was a sofa for sale on there that was claimed to be from Elton John's office at the Vic.
Shame i never got a photo of it but it was a fantastic looking 1970's kitsch effort.

What a great picture directly over the ground. These drone pictures are absolutely stunning, its a shame iAmAHornet is suspended. I guess its illegal to fly over a built up area.
The photo shows how temporary that EJ Stand roof is.

Have you noticed the lines going over it before?
I presume they are power cables to the floodlights but it looks a bit like the roof has taken root or been struck by lightning!

Those power cables would normally be routed though the roof if the roof was going to stay any length of time.

I have to be very careful about what I say, but I've got some very ITK information (and I'm very rarely ITK!) that Watford are actively looking to relocate away from the Vic.

Plans are at a very early stage, but the ball has started rolling and a private property company has been recruited to work on plans.

I'm not sure why, but I wonder whether this has something to do with the Met Line extension, which is seemingly now not going to happen.

Yep Siddique Kahnt has pretty much scotched it because people in Watford can't vote for him. Relocation wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, even taking into account the recent investment into the stadium but there's nowhere more convenient for tube travel available.

What we need is a monorail from Watford Met. Build it Pozzos.

Not back in Elstree? With it's (two bus) public transport - or is Aldenham reservoir going to be re-tasked as a "sea-plane" port?

As a fellow ITK I can confirm this is the case.

What I've also heard is the Pozzos are planning to purchase and demolish the entirety of Luton in order to build a new stadium for our reserve team.

Personally, I hope we stay at the Vic. Think it'll be a long time before we need a stadium with room for more than 30k, so why build a new one if it's only increasing the capacity by 10k?

Also, the work they've done at Vicarage Road over the past few years, inside and out, looks amazing as far as I'm concerned.

Some random pics found on the internet of the hospitality improvements that have been made:

Relocating nearer to London and still near to Watford is not difficult if you throw loads of money at the problem. Here are a couple of options:- Edgwarebury Golf course. Near the A41 and Jubilee line Or the old Kodak factory at Harrow & Wealdstone

There is a very large multi pitch playing field behind Northwick Park Hospital, which many of you have probably seen from the train on your way to and from Watford on match days. It's between South Kenton & Kenton stations on the Jubilee/Silverlink Line & between Preston Road and Northwick Park stations on the Met Line.

Therefore, there are 3 stations that would serve any new stadium well, and they would all be nearer to any stadium built on that site, than either Watford High Street, Junction, or Watford Met are to the Vic.

I have often thought those playing fields would be a viable site for WFC to locate to.

That would be Northwick Park presumably. I'm pretty sure there will be something in the Magna Carta preventing football clubs rolling up and building their stadiums on public parks.

Here's my idea for an acceptable relocation.. Radlett Road playing fields.
Easily walkable from town.. nothing is more than about 750 meters to one km away. Several different transport links (Jct/High Street rail plus buses) and it's a simple hop back to Jct 5 of the M1 and all points from there.
Plenty enough space for a good size stadium and scope for car parks.
Actually this site isnt a million miles from the proposed relocation in the 1980's

    Workable?

Isn't the idea to build a new stadium rather than just move the old one to a new location
