He’s leaving .. Knee injury apparently. Probably find he is out for a bit knowing us ! Bayo has to take his chance with Davis on the bench .
Sarr obviously a huge miss. Sierralta has been quite poor recently so not to bothered with him being dropped. Hope Bayo will step up, and play with more confidence after his last minute winner.
So frustrating for Sarr to be injured. It had better only be short-term. Another example of Edwards being so happy with his right wing-back options that he’s playing a left back there. Also interesting that Hamer’s on the bench instead of Okoye despite there being 7 other HG players in the team. Perhaps Okoye’s going on loan to a country where their window’s still open?
I think any suggestion that Kamara at RWB is posturing from Rob can be put to bed, the transfer window is closed for 4 months so I think it's a sign that he genuinely prefers Kamara to Gaspar there. Having seen Kamara on his wrong side, I just have to hope Ngakia is able to step up when he's fit
Kabasele has been worse than Sierralta and is another relic who needs putting out to pasture. Joke that he's not the one dropped.
Any ideas what countries those would be? Would also mean us presumably picking up a free agent keeper at some point
There aren’t many. Belgium, Greece and Turkey are the only ones of any pedigree. It’s probably more likely he’s injured; but then maybe Edwards think Hamer is better.
Sarr knows the Greek transfer window is still open. Desperate to keep himself fit for a £35m move to AEK Athens
Doesn't Sarr's contract expire next season? I did hear that we want to extend it but no negotions have taken place?
Davis and Hungbo the only semblance of an attacking option on the bench. Sierralta has looked tired in the last couple of games, but it’s hard to be okay with Kabasele and Cathcart both starting.
True. But considering both were pretty poor, I'm not that annoyed with this. Don't think the difference in performances of those two is massive.
No. 2024. And the chat about a new deal was that it would be a conversation that would be had as the season goes on - I very much doubt there’s been any talks over that yet.
'I'm happy with squad' 'I'm not wedded to a formation, I will pick the best one for the players I have' If he still ends up with him going with Kamara as the right sided wing back ahead of Gaspar in a back four, he really can't rate the latter. In this league, Kamara is a 5/10 right wing back and spends most of the time looking thoroughly miserable. On the left, however, he is a real asset rampaging up and down. Surely if we are basically giving up on attacking down the right, we should just stick Ken there to lumber up and down?
Personally I don't think Kabasele is that bad. He's one of the senior players at the club. He hasn't been spectacular, but has been solid enough in defence. Sierralta is paying the price for some dodgy performances recently. WTE really is that bad. I don't think there are many would want him starting, even against Rotherham.
I played them at Winchester in 1989 I think. Quarter finals. Caroline Hunt and Angie My**ck were in the other half. Oh how the referee 's assistant had fun on the tannoy!
