Take the yellow tinted glasses off, it was recklessly bad tackle.

    Al is a liability .... a walking yellow/red card.

I did mean at the time....

Have not see it on the TV but heard on replays the tackle was bad so fair enough.

Should we really drop Al just because he MIGHT pick up a yellow/red card?

There have been many a players prone to the odd bad foul but also a vital part of the team (Roy Keane comes to mind)

As usual the other team gets all the breaks.......... ;D

    Thanks Berko,

Whilst not wishing to condone harming another player - Bang Bang`s challenge was `firm` which shows why the guy is so effective in `breaking` up play - most opposition players tend to avoid him.

The fact that he is such a titch saves him from much ire from referees.

Once he sorts out his distribution he can be an awesome player.;D

I think his distribution has suffered due to low confidence. Last night he looked to get rid of the ball at the earliest opportunity and looked scared of making a mistake, hence a lot of high punts, but I know he has the talent to play better and will be a fine midfielder. Though he missed the ball in teh 50/50 with savage, I don't think it was a bad tackle. His foot went down in front of Savage's leg and Savage's follow through from clearing hte ball resulted in teh collision. His studs did not go down the shin or anything.

Would you guys not prefer Savage to play against the scum in the FA Cup and take out 4 people, and deck Newell?

I said to my mate at the start of the season Al would break someones leg (if not his own!) because of his 'Crazy Al Tackles' and I was worried it'd be a popular player like Gerrard. No one deserves to have a broken leg, but i'm sure there will be less sympathy for Savage (from neutrals) in comparison to other players
