I didn't say we weren't one of the worst sides. I didn't say we weren't close to being one of the worst side. I said that we aren't close to being the worst side. Therefore you are putting words in my mouth and arguing against something I've never said. Hope that helps, but tbh I doubt it.
Hang on....how can we be close to being one of the worst sides without being close to being the worst side?! This is pedantic but it makes absolutely no sense!
The most depressing thing is, it's not surprising in the slightest. Done critiquing this team, it's boring. Has been for two whole years.
That we're tenth best this season is a minor miracle. On form going back 5, 10 or 15 games id be suprised of we were ever out of the top five worst. We are on a downward trajectory and thats the problem. Palace were easily the worst team early in this season but are now on an upward trajectory.
We aren't close to being the worst side but we are one of the worst sides. But we're not close to being the worst side. Even though we are one of the worst sides. Got it, thanks pal.
By changing their.... I'm not gonna say it! Fair to say palace were mocked when Roy was appointed. Their form was like ours now. Look at them lately (today aside).
Same old **** from Silva after the game, he can't even be bothered to have digs at the lack of transfers anymore. I enjoyed his line of sky about not losing focus, maybe he'd be better off on the comedy circuit as he can't be ****ed here anymore and is just waiting for his pay off.
‘Most days of the year are unremarkable. They begin and they end with no lasting memory made in between. Most days have no impact on the course of a life’ (500 Days Of Summer) Today watching Watford felt like one such day. Nothing learnt. Nothing enjoyed. Nothing that will live long in the memory. Pity.
The form table based on the last 10 games, which is a fair period to look at I think, shows we are actually the worst. We have the fewest points of anybody.
Just got back from the game Had we started with two up top, we may have given Leicester a game. They won’t have an easier game all season. We’ve got two wingers who can’t cross a ball. Richarlison is a waste of a place. Taking off Bobby P?? Bringing on okaka as a third forward?? Silva’s substitutions are becoming more ludicrous. Doucoure is becoming worse game by game but he can’t do it all on his own. The keeper was our best player. I hope this was silva’s last game
I think Silva thinks if you throw on all your strikers then it'll end up in goals. Instead it made us look like an unorganised mess.
Is it any wonder that Chas and Doucoure's levels have dropped? They are in dire need of a break. The cup game is in danger of replicating that international match a few years back when both teams tried to lose! Having said that, we seem to have it down to a fine art of late, handball apart!
Silva won't go. Honestly I think the club's PR this season has been catastrophic. If Silva is to remain here then they would be well advised to try and draw a line under the whole Everton fiasco by providing a counter to the various damning reports in the press. Instead it just appears that the club is going through constant inner turmoil which is then translating into these abject performances on the pitch. Communication under Mazzarri was poor but this is somehow 10 times worse. I don't hold Silva solely responsible and I do think sacking him doesn't really get to the root of the issue. But I can't see a long term future for him here. It feels at the moment like he and the club are engaged in some kind of elaborate stand off, the outcome of which could be disastrous for the club if somebody doesn't swallow their pride soon.
As an arrogant ponce from a country with a wholly mediteranean coast, I'd say it's the Atlantic coast which is at fault
Are you in desperate need of a win? Desperate for a point? Maybe even just desperate for a goal?? You're in luck because Watford FC are next on your fixture list and they will be happy to fulfil all your needs!
We may be tenth, but that is by virtue of our early season performances and despite our results since November. The question one asks oneself is whether one expects more of this, current, ****** Watford between now and the end of the season, or a miraculous return to the September Hornets. If you believe the latter then you probably believe we'll be safe. If the former, then you can probably imagine us being in trouble.
Whatever is going on behind the scenes, the fact that we can't string two passes together or hold on to the ball is the most frustrating thing for me. How many times were we caught in possession today? It's as if each time we get the ball we tell the opposition 'I'm going to pass it in this direction and will wait until you can intercept it before I kick it, if that's ok'. At this rate, no ST for me next season whether we stay up or not. There are better things to spend my money on that will not make me angry on a regular basis.
Bringing Okaka on did nothing and our crosses into the box were woeful. Other than that, except for speed, thought we matched them pretty well.
I cannot imagine there is one Watford fan that thinks we have nothing to fear. Clearly some on here believe the number of teams involved, that is Everton downwards,is helpful to our cause. I would agree. However, we simply cannot afford to lose to Stoke. How many of us believe we won't? More importantly how many of the players believe and do Gino and Duxbury? Very few of us expected us to get a point today, myself included but for the first time for a long long time I wasn't anxious. Mainly because I had no faith in a positive result. Losing,or rather not winning does this to your psyche and it needs to change now. Only one thing is certain,it will be an interesting end to January!
At the risk of being smug I said, as soon as they appointed him, he'd keep them up. Of course, it may all change again now I've said that.
I feel the same way about Stalingrad. At the time it seemed horrendous. Looking back now with hindsight , we all chuckle about what all the fuss was about.
At least today we lost our dubious distinction of being the last team who failed to score against Stoke.
