Well, there still were Tuesday 19:45 kick-offs, albeit not as many back in the days when there were 42 games in the second tier - but not so many (if any) Wednesday 20:00 KOs I'm guessing?
Tuesday or Wednesday night games a few times a season were/are no problem and enjoyable. It's all the other silly times I object too.
I have changed my stance after lastnights results, I hope we win now. Leicesters collapse is hilarious to watch, sorry Filbert if you are still around somewhere. Squeaky bum time at the top and bottom it seems.
Will be attending tonight and Saturday too. Glutton for punishment as they say !. Given that we can no longer reach the play offs and are all but safe from the drop I predict 4 points from the next 2 matches followed by 2 home defeats thereafter. What happens at 'boro is anyone's guess .
Massive game for us tonight after the no-show at Norwich. 30,000 - place will be bouncing - Watford sneaky dangerous and have no fear and nothing to play for. Biggest game at Portman Road...since the last one.
We're really not. Our chumps have spent all season turning out performances like they've nothing to play for. Nothing to fear from us and if your team get the basics right you'll wallop us.
Should be a routine victory for your lot, we're ******* awful. If you can't beat us you don't deserve to go up.
Hopefully Big Raj puts in an uncharacteristically subdued performance tonight, looking completely immobile and like an alien that's never heard of jumping before, let alone tried it. Ipswich were linked with him January and we definitely don't want to lose him.
If they get promoted though and make a £10mil+ bid in the summer it could be a struggle for us to hold on to him.
Absolutely. All I'm saying though if is this absolutely deadly Haaland clone happened by some unfortunate set of circumstances to look to 30,000 fans like a complete dud tonight Ipswich shouldn't be put off and should definitely buy him for big bucks in the summer, whether they get promoted or otherwise.
She may have a point - West Brom, QPR and especially Norwich have worse away records than us and they have all got points at Portman Road. Though Leicester (draw) and Leeds (win) are the only other teams to get anything there. Like I said, I'm going there tonight more for the trip than expectations of an entertaining game, but I'm confident (maybe deluded) it won't be a pushover for them.
The fact that there are only 2 pages of comments says it all. Half the forum members probably don't even realise we're playing tonight, ....or have chosen to forget to avoid the ridicule.
I will check the score but can't say I'm that bothered. For some reason I've bought a ticket for Saturday!
Don't think you can, but there may well be a game replay at some point after the fact on one of the Sky football channels.
I am surprised it’s not the main game given Ipswich’s position . Swansea v Stoke isn’t really much of one .
True - probably be one sided. Fair point . Stoke need to win as I can see Birmingham beating Cardiff .
May 6 2018, Ipswich drew 2-2 with Middlesbrough. It’s a big event in the Town’s history that they still mark with fireworks and a massive anything goes orgy that would put Norwich to shame.
