€10m = unbelievable business if true. By no means a guaranteed success, but as close as we'll get in that position. The deal is surely being helped along by Gerard's desire to come here, and if so fair play to him - a quality player who genuinely wants to be here. The signs are positive with regards to the club's desire to get their business done early. Maybe a striker and centre-half next - assuming Masina is also nearly a done deal - or am I just talking crazy and asking far too much?
Be nice to have some pace and skill in our attack - just need to find a couple of forwards for him to provide chances for.
Everyone cross your fingers on this one! My highlight of the season was GD driving at the Chelsea defence with the ball at pace and pointing at Deeney to show him where to go. Then slipping through where the space had opened up to guide it into the corner. Real classy!
10 million euros in todays market is absolutely peanuts. This would be the bargain of the summer for sure if this goes through.
No keep asking! We need to settle on a goalkeeper; get Messina in; at least one striker and CB. It seems like the Pozzos want one further class midfielder in case Doucoure goes I guess. We need to bear in mind Wolves are spending really big this summer and Fulham already have a pretty good first team. We need to continue to sensibly improve each squad position and get the squad really fit in pre-season. Our medical and sports physio teams also need to up their game.
We've promised Barca first dibs on Hernandez. Sorry, replied to wrong post - should have been the Gino tactics one!
238,000 in the city itself & 650,000 in Metropolitan Messina. Expect trolleys in the corridors of Colney.
Great coup if true, I would think that Barca would insist on some form of percentage sell on fee however....
If the amount quoted is correct, thats about 65% of a 'Benik Afobe' in todays market. Or 33% of a 'Yannick Bolasie'. I'm not sure anything more needs to be added to point out what an insanely good deal it is.
If this happens, pretty much our most technically able player. Genuine q. Why would GD come here? Good signal to others like him. (I don’t mean GD = Going Down.)
Familiar surroundings and he strikes me as a player who needs an arm round him and told how good he is. I think he enjoys the PL and realises its time to settle on one club rather than 2 every season. And, people probably won't expect me to admit this, but I expect the presence of Gracia is a big plus too. I just hope he doesn't throw a 'Richarlison' when his favourite manager gets sacked....
Simply, guaranteed playing time. Spanish speaking coach, and having spent time on loan here will help selling Watford to him too.
€10m would be a good deal, but we'd have to beware the fact that once he's got a contract signed and is playing regularly again, he could just go through the motions. Hope not, but we've seen it enough before, I wouldn't call it as close to a guaranteed success as you can get
He is definitely a player who struggles for consistency. Don't think it is due to lack of effort or motivation so a settled environment for him to express himself and fulfill some of his potential will benefit all.
I'd skip the Flemish edition though. He seems to get ravaged up the bumholio whenever he does deals in the low countries
I've got a feeling team members like Chalobah are playing a part in convincing him to join. We need more players like Nathaniel, I think it's clear that he wants to be a part of the club and it looks as if he would like to see the right players join/stay with him here. I.e when he commented on one of Doucoure's instagram posts "So are you staying then?!?". Definite Captain material and I feel he's a bit more outgoing than our man Troy when it comes down to welcoming new players. Anyways, what do I know.
Where are ITKTim and ITKQuim (whatever the name was) when we need them. It's just occured to me there's a massive hole to fill there somewhere.
I don't have Instagram, but I thought there was a "post" from Chalobah professing loyalty to the club, which he debunked as fake.
I think he would have responded the same if the post said that he stated that he was open to a discussion with Everton. If I were a footballer (which, unfortunately I am not), I'd be pissed off if any reporter claimed I said things I did not say, whatever the topic may be... Good or bad.
