who cares what the journalists of a third world country think? Our ace players will be back from injury soon and he can rot on the bench or the reserves for all I care. Send him back to the land of the bull murderers early even. He's a useful squad player, not the saviour of our season. He's nothing more than a temporary fix until we get our proper players back. I see no reason to continue to start him when we have our first choice midfielders back.

When he signed for Everton there was a buyback clause which Barca enacted. hence him going back. If rumour is to be believed then Everton retain first refusal if Barca decide to sell. No idea if this is true but that is why lots are suggesting Everton could scupper the deal.
Should there be a clause Everton have first refusal, they could only scupper the deal by buying him themselves + Delafoo accepting the move. If not they couldn't block his move elsewhere.

You sure? Why would we carry on paying his wages (or whatever percent of his wages) for over 6 weeks after the last game of the season? I always thought loans ended May 31st and it was permanent contracts that run to June 30th.

I really, really hope this comes off. We won't get a winger of higher overall quality and on his day he is a genuine game changer. Also the added bonus that he clearly seemed to enjoy his time here and has an appreciation for the club.
