http://www.watfordfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~1217726,00.html Looks like we've got him, with £5m and Collins John going your way. How do you feel about this? I hope he's not another Kamara.
whats John like? as to be fair I havent watched alot of games with him playing King should do well for you but I wouldnt be suprised if he gets him self into trouble as Watford(when not away with Jamaica or injured)is the only club where he hasnt got into trouble.
John is a Dutch international who was our top scorer in all competitions in 2005/6 season, and that was mostly coming off the bench, including one Van Basten-esque strike against Middlesbrough. Since then he's settled down a bit, was pretty poor last season (scored his 20th Prem goal up at Man City and had two more offside goals) and so we sent him on loan to Leicester for three months, where he scored two goals in eleven matches (I think). He's still only 22 and he's scored goals at Premiership level for sure, but he was frustrating the Fulham fans with a lack of committment and a lack of understanding of the offside rule. He can be a great player on his day though. I seem to remember King being arrested while at Gillingham?
thanks for the information about Collins John, sounds like Priskin Yeah King stole a car if I remember correctly
I don't think it's such bad business for Watford. They should have a lot of money in the coffers now - and I think John has a lot of potential. Really, ultimately, it is now just a question of whether Collins John can produce the sort of form he is capable of. I'm a great admirer of his though.
thats coz he cant get into the side!! so what happened to that shiney £60000000 we wanted? i dont think CJ is worth £55m or a packet of winegums for that fact, why in hell is Boothroyd looking for fringe players at fringe clubs!!!!!! wheres the ambition gone!! maybe this will give ellington a chance to shine, hes needed a boost and getting rid of King might be it...ooo its all a plan. but see me crying in a week after ellington misses a penalty and cj breaks his face on the goal post whilst heading in his 5th own goal of the night.. a man can dream...
