I think i know where you mean, out of the station, past the fishery (nice but overpriced pub), up the road and into boxmoor and the pub you speak of by the swings is the 3 blackbirds. The behind that is anchor lane and there is what looks like a private road coming off it.

Never been down that private road myself however. So when it comes down to it, i know where you mean.

That area is infact Boxmoor, almost on the verge of being a cross-over area but is gaining it's reputation back as a decent place. Smashing chippy :]]
