Is it better to lose in the QF, SF or final ? Higher achievement = greater pain with the ultimate failure.
Would be typical for us to knock out a giant at QF stage and then lose to CP in the SF again, the season we did the league double over them.

    In order of preference:

    1) Swansea at home...
    2) Millwall at home...
    3) Palace at home...
    4) Brighton at home...
    5) Swansea away...
    6) Wolves at home...
    7) Palace away...
    8) Brighton away...
    9) Chelsea at home...
    10) Wolves away...
    11) Millwall away...
    12) Man Utd at home...
    13) Chelsea away...
    14) Man Utd away...
    15) Man City at home...
    16) Man City away...

Would be very confident if any of 1-6 happen.
Give us a decent chance if 7-11 happen.
Don't want any of 12-16 possibilities.

I'd be more than happy with Swansea or Millwall home or away. Followed by Palace or Brighton - ideally at home but not too bothered about playing them away. Wolves would be more of a challenge and City, United/Chelsea are to be avoided

Well you're assuming we're going to lose at all. My point (such as it is), is that if we're going to get City from here on in, the best chance of not losing to them is in the QF. Obviously, it would be better if someone else played and beat them. Frankly though, I don't care who we get if it's going to be on a bloody Friday night again.

I'm working on the basis that we will lose, be relegated next season and then lose 5-0 and 0-3 to that lot up the road on the way to their promotion to the prem and our financial meltdown. I will be delighted with any improvement on that outcome.

soihmy, Are you really worried about who we are playing due to their fans.
Hopefully you are joking. We have also acquired a number of idiots who are
quite happy to get involved as seen after the game on Friday.
The fight in the road by White City Station was almost comical , protagonists
in as much danger as beeing hit by a car as a punch.
Millwall if we have to go away , anyone apart from the obvious two if we finally
get a home draw we are due. Six away on the bounce at the moment.

No. Astonishingly low expectations mean every day is a wonderous day of over-achievement and surprise.

  12. I'd like a trip to see us again at Wembley though so there is that if we avoid them and get through.

My thoughts are I don't think we would be capable of beating man city, but that a Chelsea or Manu on a good day can take out an off form City, and in turn an on form Watford are capable of taking out Chelsea or Manu.

If you want another trip to Wembley just wait for next season’s game against Spurs. Their new stadium opening seems less likely than Brexit happening in this moment.

So who do we fancy in tonights draw?

Im hoping for Millwall away because Id like to see if the bloke in the pink fake Lacrosse shirt is still there mouthing off , whilst offering to take on the whole away end on his own.

Anyone else remember that game under Lewington, (I think), where the whole away end sung back to him "In touch with your feminine side" which I thought was rather a trite and witty response considering it came from a football stand.

These vox pops from wobbly headed imbeciles, a pointless and expensive helicopter shot of “London” and some old men singing grime on linekaers “carnival of **** build up” to another Man Utd fa cup game on bbc 1 is fuhhuhucking bullsheet.

Shearer’s exasperated analysis of Chelsea needing to get the ball, turn, pass it, and turn, turn and then turn is particularly uninteresting. As for the panel of blue suit blue tie experts, it goes well with the blue puke coloured Chelsea pensioner training kit

    12 & 13 give us a definite chance.

    13/16 = decent odds.

    Chelsea 0 - Utd 1,

...is that good for us? Not sure myself.

  23. Utd - City quarter final would suit most I imagine

And if that fails, Millwall v City on a rainy snowy weekend with the pitch a bog

Chelsea getting smashed up again. Why does Sarri play Jorginho game after game when he has Kante?

I have told Mr IBB I will batter him about the head with his Zaha miniature if we draw Palace or Citeh and take it as his birthday present.
We are certain to get one of them,it's been one of those days.

Statistically, I would say we’re more likely to get Brighton away.
