Pererya being dropped is no surprise. So much talent but there are a lot of games this time of year and we need to make sure he can play as many as possible without risking injury. A freezing cold night in South London is not bad one to miss
Pereyra dropped. WTF Silva? Pereyra was our best player on Saturday and got taken off, whilst Richarlison played crap
Success to come on, score the winner and celebrate by pretending to down a bottle of Baileys, doing some pelvic thrusting then collapsing on the floor in a droopy heap.
The second greatest alcohol related goal celebration after Gazza's dentist chair celebration at Euro 96
Another player that spends too much time fannying around on Instagram and not enough time concentrating on his club football.
Jesus H ******* Christ, what the bloody **** are we ******* doing here, eh?! What is the ******* point? How has this become the norm?
Pathetic display. If we can't learn how to see out a game from a winning position, we deserve to lose every remaining game this season.
Your mate Mason completely bottled the Van Aarnholt decision. Also thought he should have booked Zaha in the first half but let him off the hook.
I'm with HB1 already on this game. I thought the ref had a decent game until Palace should have gone a man down. Two minutes later we're down to 8.5 players (Gray doesn't count, and Pereyra was severely compromised) and in deep poo.
Shafted by the referee again. That is a clear red card for the foul on Pereyra. And yet again after a poor decision we concede. We should have buried this game in the first half. Prodl missed a free header and Deeney despite the nick from Dann poor. Not to mention injuries again. Palace are pretty ordinary and were made to look it and yet again we implode. Shockingly bad. We seem content to throw away points like confetti.
We seem to have somehow regressed into early QSF, without the defensive solidity to go with it. Lots of neat little passes that ultimately lead nowhere. Jurado would slot straight back into this team no problem.
Oh well.....looks like this season is going the same way as the other two. So much promise, only to fizzle out to nothing and we'll be hanging on come May. Winning 1-0 in the 89th minute. Man sent off and lose 2-1. This is so Watford.
Sort this shower of **** out Silva! Strikers who run about doing **** all except miss open goals. Players sent off every week. Players hobbling off every week. Even the "good football" tag seems to be inherited rather than earned. We're scrappy and nowhere near the slick side we were earlier in the season. We need to see whether Silva can turn this around, otherwise another classic "good start" to the season will peter out into sub-mediocrity. There's nothing about the performances today or Saturday which suggests we're any better than 15th-17th as it stands. Massive improvement needed and quick.
First half we doubled and trebled up on Zaha and played him out of the game. Second half we left him one-on-one with Janmaat and he ran rings around us. So bloody obvious, but we just kept leaving him to it. Pathetic. And why the hell do we give away ****** free kicks all the time?! All the other team have to do is wind us up, and we'll be too busy trying to kick them to bother stopping their attacks. Amateur. So pissed off.
Are we just in for the same **** again? Flatter to deceive until November and then collapse? I hate losing to Palace at the best of times but that was horrible, soul-destroying stuff. We need a competent striker urgently. Deeney and Gray are Championship players. Either play them together or cut our losses on both and buy a player that can actually play as a lone striker. Cleverley made a meal of his opportunity and then threw his toys out of his pram and pissed away the game, appalling professionalism from a player we expect better from. I'm trying not to be too upset and recognise that we would have won comfortably had it not been for that late implosion. But its a bitter pill to swallow
