They're still getting over losing to Tranmere.

I think we’ll be shot after last week. Expecting a loss today and relegation to become that much more certain.

This game is so massive it's creating so much gravity the moon is in danger of falling to earth.

    It's that big.

Unless Sarr starts I think the best we will get is a draw, probably lose. Pereyra looked better against Everton, but will probably be lost in this type of game that will be a scrap

Tbf, Brighton aren't really scrappers so much these days.

Pererya and Deulofeu should switch sides, then yeah, that's not a terrible line-up

Anyone know if Sarr even traveled with the squad?

Couldn’t see him on the team arrival vid at Brighton on Twitter, though it’s edited a bit. Pedro is there.

Confirmed. No Sarr. 1 change - Hughes and Chalobah swap so the latter is on the bench today.

Probably protecting Sarr's value for when we sell him on in the summer after relegation.

Uh oh, turns out Burn is back for them. It will be an absolute miracle if we don't concede at least one set-piece goal, if not more.

If Dawson is fit enough then I'd have rather had him on the pitch somehow to help counteract that threat.

Hanging here to a 1-0. Mariappa ****. No idea where Deeney is playing Foster will soon be booked for time wasting

It's a total joke Mariappa is anywhere near this team, has been totally out of his depth ever since he came back. It's not all his fault, yet another window and **** all spent on the defence again.

I honestly don't see this team has 5-6 wins in it.

I remember a few week ago that someone posted and alluded to the fact that I should apologise because I was ‘clearly wrong’ when I said I thought Pearson was a bad choice.

As much as a percentage of me has come round to him, he is so naive tactically it’s painful. He’s the reason that we are in with a shout if staying up - but he’s also the reason that we look destined to go down.

Pearson doesn’t have to pick him. Dawson is fit and can play there. Granted not brilliantly but he can - it given Mariappa’s recent output, it was worth a switch. Pearson didn’t do it. It’s on him.

Best thing about that is... 2 weeks for a proper right back to get fit.

Right result on the basis of the match but not what we needed. Thank **** we didn't lose because we were absolutely dreadful second half.

Sat too deep, not sure why we do it because man for man we can match teams like Brighton. Press higher and use the subs to liven things up when needed.

Deeney’s Movement in the box is woeful, how has he not learnt to make a run one way or the other?

Lucky to get a point the way the game was going.

Pearson is a band-aid. The cut underneath is too deep.

Well in the context of the situation he inherited, he’s obviously not been a bad choice.

Today looked like the players are mentally and physically shot. Not sure anyone can bring them back from that.

In the bottom three and we are time wasting against a relegation rival, trying to see out a draw. ****ing tragic.

Mariappa playing Premier League football really is beyond a joke at this point.

The most depressing aspect of getting relegated is that Mariappa is probably going one of the players that stays

Heard the term "one-man team" thrown around unfairly in football before but we are very, very ordinary without Sarr.

If he's not back and ready to start every single one of our remaining fixtures then we might as well accept relegation now.

Well it started nicely then went downhill.

    Somehow we didn't lose!

Mariappa had a bad bad game and own goal summed it up.

That’s what happens when your transfer strategy results in Mariappa as a regular season in season out. An absolutely dreadful player. Was being ripped to pieces and giving away stupid free kicks even before his absurd own goal.

It’s not Mariappa’s fault I suppose, our owners are just ******s.
