i din't boo but i think i would have if i had realised that the M1 was down to one lane and it would take me 1hr 30 mins to get home. i had to spend the time sat in my car dwelling on the performance and how we had mucked it up. our home support is poor, we always start off cheering and then the second half just becomes like a library.

i feel one way round to get our support going is to make sure families (with young children) with season tickets are encouraged to use the lower rous and not the rookery. i am in the top right of the rookery surrounded by families and upset the kids or feel guilty when i stand up and cheer and shout (and sometimes i even swear!) as the little kids around me don't like it and then their parents moan. perhaps we could only offer the cheap kids season tickets in the lower rous so that this is rectafied(sp?)

the promlem of course with this is that not all families with young children are like that, but there is a high proportion who are.

I think there should be a special area on buses for everyone who is over 15, so we don't have to listen to the swearing rowdy youth of today, listening to their shyte music like the bus is a nightclub.

i think the support last night was ok sepcially from the back of the rookery and that one guy who tried to keep everyone goin but saying that i sit towards the back in row n in the middle me and the two guys next to me were bein pretty loud chanting along and everyone to the sides of us and downwards seem not to take a interest in any of it if im honest which i thought was a bit ****

American's are surprisingly squeamish about people in crowds doing anything other than prudish victorian opera claps.

From day one, MLS teams have set up supporters group sections so as not to bother mummy & daddy's little boy & girl. The whole section is filled with active supporters standing & yelling all game long.

Here is a warning sign from in front of the Rev's section nicknamed "The Fort":

Note that someone painted over the "NO" leaving simply "PROFANITY PLEASE".

I'm sorry but blaming the fans for last night's debacle is misguided. I had the feeling at the start of the game that all the fans were up for the game, the atmosphere soured when we all realised that the players were not. I accept that somtimes people's frustrations could not be satisfied- punt it forward and they moan, pass it back and wait for an opening and they grumble - but the frustrations of the fans is not only understandable, but inevitable when faced by a performance like that.

I'm largely with Paddy on this one. Sure there was some serious ineptitude on display last night and the words 'can you not farking well practice passing during the week you dozy farker!!' or words to that effect, did spring from my lips from time to time.

But the booing and anxiety started from about 55 minutes [way too early] and no one in yellow was allowed to dwell on the ball or play a square pass without the crowd getting out of their prams. So they did what we demanded and lumped it against a team well equiped to cope.

And I thought uncharitably of some of my fellow fans

Do you knuts not know that playing against 10 men is renowned to be hard?
Do you not get what a good team Wigan are and that most of their team would get in ours?
Can you not shut up for a moment and get behind the team like when we were winning?

As for the booing and alleged abusing Aidy at the end, get a flippin life and don't be such poor losers [or drawers].
