Hopefully Ivic can knock some sense into the lad as he clearly has talent. I still wish we had We are desperately short of options on the left wing so it would have made very little sense to loan him out unless we had a replacement.

I really want him to be good. We've seen how good he can be for Venezuela and Granada, and that strike against Coventry. But he's a bit of a clown, very immature and extremely naive. The playboy type that would perhaps be a star in the MLS or something, but not here. I don't think it helped that we gave him a chance, he scored a wondergoal, huge confidence boost when we were looking for a spark... and got shipped off to Eupen.
The guy is clearly immature, but we buy these players and ship off to countries they have no idea about without any family members as though the are assets and just hope they develop and bin them off if they don't. Some of the decision making involved in the loan moves for him was utterly abysmal. We yanked him out of Granada where he was an important player and if he had stayed he would have had a Spanish passport in a few more months to send him to Udinese where he never played and his 2 year residency in Spain was lost. He has some bad luck (and makes some bad decisions personally) while at Malaga and stalls in development. We finally get him here and make a big deal of it and clearly tell him he will be playing PL football - instead he plays a few away games in the cup and never even makes the bench in the PL. Finally he gets a chance at Vicarage Road, he impresses with a decent goal and you think "this may be turning point" - so we immediately ship him out.
Good....I'm pleased about that. I consider him to be our wildcard player. No idea what you're going to get from him, but he can be a match winner. I thought he may have blown his chance with that video, although I didn't think it was anything too bad, but it does go with the image of him being a bit of an immature clown. I thought he may be a little to silly for Ivic, but apparently not. I like that as I'd like to see what he can do in the first team.
Agreed. I think, in general, Watford suck at developing young players. But for injuries, Doucoure would have gone on loan to Lorient and we wouldn't be making a tidy profit on him now. We recognised Richarlison as a talent but he soon got fed up. If we'd have played Sarr from the off we'd probably still be a PL side. Quina has been frozen out completely. Hopefully we don't screw up Joao Pedro.

And to think, if we'd have stayed up, do you think Pedro, Penaranda and Quina would be in the first team?
Maybe Pedro off the bench to satisfy the hugely pointless Brazilian Watford Twitter account with a 3 minute cameo, but otherwise not a chance.
He has probably one of the last opportunities to have a good career in football, lets hope he grasps it

My source tells me that he will be in the squad but is not guaranteed to play. He also tells me that if he comes good he will be just like a new signing.

Good point. I don't think Doucoure would have stayed either tbh. This is why I'm not too fussed about him leaving now.
The guy clarified using a tweet saying that whilst he's in the squad that doesn't mean, for whatever reason, that he's guaranteed any duration of time like minutes, hours or seconds. Also, the player tends to come in from the left.
