Interesting one. Do we bring Doyley back in? From Yahoo http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/02122011/63/keeper-concerns-town.html Ipswich could once again be without goalkeepers David Stockdale and Richard Wright when Watford visit Portman Road. Arran Lee-Barrett became the third Town goalkeeper to start in as many games when they were thrashed 4-0 by Burnley on Tuesday, and he will play again should Stockdale and Wright miss out. The duo are both struggling with shoulder injuries. Stockdale, on loan from Fulham, is considered the most likely to return having missed the Tractor Boys' last two games. Ipswich's defence could be boosted by the return of centre-back Ibrahima Sonko. In his absence, Jewell's side have conceded 13 goals in their last four outings but he has trained all week after tearing his hamstring. Captain Grant Leadbitter (groin) is still sidelined.
Wordyness is not my forte. In fact I'm not even sure if wordyness is a word? If it isn't it should be. Mind you I can do spelling & punctuation right proper like.
And that's the sole reason why I'm not going. I would have liked to have done this one, but out of principle I'm not paying that sort of money for Division 2 football. Edit: I'm NOT paying that sort of money. What a wally...
I would agree, but pragmatically with the travel being so much cheaper, it will cost less than the Doncaster game. I will be gritting my teeth as I habd over the notes though.
I can actually see a win here, they are in a very, very bad place right now. With Kightly, and hopefully Sordell... think we can score goals tomorrow.
After failing to take maximum points against Donny or Bristol, this game is now undoubtedly a must-win. Dyche has to be hanging by a thread now. I presume that the watershed will be Xmas, after which point we must cut our losses and get someone new in.
If there's any time for Watford to clock-up an away 3 points it's today. Ipswich have lost 6 consecutive games and we are in good form. It was unfortunate to lose a 2 goal lead against bristol city, but how many people actually thought we would score against them! Unsure whether Sordell is fit for todays game, I know Garner was on the bench but would really like to see him play alongside either Beattie or Iwelumo at some point, but otherwise I would keep the same team that started against Bristol City. My team to face Ipswich is as follows: GK - Loach RB - Hodson CB - Nosworthy CB - Mariappa LB - ****inson RW - Yeates CM - Hogg CM - Buaben LW - Kightly CF - Iwelumo CF - Beattie Subs: Garner, Doyley, Eustace, Deeney, Forsyth
As always, feeling fairly optimistic right now, but 2 minutes in, Ipswich will have a good chance and my heart will sink. Going for a strong Ipswich win but clearly hoping i'm wrong
I just hope that Loach banishes any thoughts of Lenny Pidgley. Best thing that Marriappa can do is to back pass to Loach in the first few mins.
I have a feeling Garner or even Deeney will come in for one of the front 2. Not too sure both our strikers are fit enough to play twice in a week to be honest.
Match predictions are a double edge sword in my book. We can only support whoever plays n hope they give it their best shot. And as for fitness.......any fit footballer that cant play 2 games in a week, shouldnt be playing football.
Official Team: Loach; Hodson, Mariappa (c), Nosworthy, ****inson; Yeates, Hogg, Buaben, Kightly; Sordell, Iwelumo. Subs : Bond (gk), Mirfin, Eustace, Deeney, Beattie.
Superb comeback, well done Dyche for the double change Well done Marv for sticking away the penalty under a lot of pressure and well done to Ole Deeney Solskjaer for getting another winner of the bench P.s. Tards
Very pleased with the result there, especially our 14 games without a defeat against them. Good substitutions Dychey, and glad to see Deeney on the scoresheet again.
