The ref's early poor decisions will have made our defence think twice before tackling, though I thought they did alright - how can you have a go when Palace had just one shot on target! :sign15: It was interesting to see Jonathan Bond and Adam Thompson being ballboys near the half way line on the Rous side, I wonder why they had to do it instead of the normal academy lads. I wonder if it was due to a shortage or perhaps it was intended to get them used to the communication on the pitch. :badge:

No ones picking on Hodson, but this is a forum for discussion about all things Watford and people will comment if a particular part of a players game isnt up to scratch - in this case Hodson's passing (which wasnt very good). Tbh he hasnt been as good this season as he was when in the side last season, but like someone else said he is improving with the more game time he gets. As for Marriappa, i think he's a decent centre back but his distribution has always been his weakest area and it showed during the palace game. Just look at the difference between him and taylor when they have possesion of the ball and abit of room to operate in. Theres a hugh difference their distribution and the types of balls they play.
He is related to Hodson, or a good friend of the family, that is why Harry will attack any posts anti the young full back. It was the same on the Wobby site a few weeks ago, and the thread descends into personal threats and insults. Just ignore him, he might go away. There is only one opinion that matters, and it is not that of Harry.
