We used to have a family friend who was sports editor at the Guardian. Lived in Tring, if I remember correctly. They have always been relatively fair to us

I know that dungarees are jeans, but I have no idea what the other two items are. Have I been living on a different planet?
Are theese deemed to be fashionable items?

Come on though. If you were a neutral their goal should have stood and we should have got a penalty

We ARE a little team. 2nd smallest crowd. We are relatively new to the Prem, don’t have an easy handle. The media will chase the agenda that sells papers.

The ref was **** for us and worse for them.
At the moment we are above Utd and Everton in the league. We beat spurs this season something I never thought I’d see in my life and we have players who can magic their way through 7 prem
League defenders (at times) I wasn’t around for the first Taylor period with us - stuff of dreams right here.

Enjoy it. It won’t be forever

This is the funniest thing I’ve seen all year! I had show my son the parklife video for him to realise how funny it was!

I’ve also changed my mind about muff. If us and them can aim high and it ruffles some top 6 feathers all the better

I'm pretty sure it was Brian Clough that made that quote.

Thank you, I obviously have been, and still am living on a different planet. Does anybody know about the attire worn by the chap that owns the fish & chip shop? Just to complete the picture.

The more all the smaller teams threaten the big ones the better. Always challenge the status quo.

The answer to that is ‘nought’.

On the counting circuit, the bigger noises, the players, prefer ‘zero’.

8 points or more from the 8 games we've got coming up between now and the new year would be a considerable achievement

I get your point, but I think the Cardiff, West Ham and Newcastle matches are winnable, but the rest could be tough.

I was equally sure it wasn't when I started writing this. But now I think you might be right. And since starting that second sentence, I've decided you're definitely right. *******.

I always thought it was supposed to be Shankly. But Mr Google suggests it was attributed to both of them at different times.

Bill Shakespeare may not have known how to spell his own name but I'm sure Bill Shankly did!

In the case of Status Quo - Doesn't any one of them sound pretty much like the others?

One Quo track would make my Top 1000: Gerdundula

Having watched the fish all highlights during the season thus far, I think that Success has the potential to become a WFC legend.

I think we need to cut Danny La Feu some slack. His turn of pace is fantastic to watch.

The old laws were better. Everyone could both understand and explain the offside law. Indirect free-kicks could be given for obstruction and handball HAD to be deliberate. Nearly every throw-in seems to be a foul throw nowadays as the arms don't go behind the head. Despite a change in the law players still don't retreat at free-kicks. Corners are taken outside of the mark and players shuffle forward in slow motion when taking a penalty. The game's authorities have made too many changes since the GT era when I started supporting WFC. The only ones I like are goalkeepers not being able catch backpasses and the extra substitutes. Most of the rest are utter garbage and don't help but rather hinder the officials.

Still think that if we play as we have done in most matches, the next four games could yield 3 or 4 points. We are nearly a third of the way through the season and are above (albeit narrowly) some bigger clubs. When United just beat us at home not many would have predicted that after 12 games. We should all stay positive and that way we will get at least some reward.

    Shankly.

Cloughy was still being weaned on the Hartlepools teat of management when Shankly said it.

    Actually, wasn’t it Pardew?

He probably said it on GOS in spring 2017.

    Exactly.

Shankly approximately 20 years before Clough.

The corner thing annoys me. The rule should be changed so Lino doesn’t say anything to the taker then immediately flags when it is taken and if becomes a goal kick.
