DAY 1 - Werewolf 2018

Another day 1 where we have no clue.
Norway and Diamond both have a 50% chance of being good don't they? Objectively speaking, everyone else is a lower chance of being good based on the possible number of evils out of 19. I can see why voting for someone named is better than nothing but isn't the only way Norway or Diamond are stated as good but are definitely evil is if 1 of those is the alpha wolf trying to bluff us?

I'm sorry but after reading nirnironorns absolutely sound logic about why to vote for Diamond I appreciate I should have voted Diamond.

Depending on which message you view as being the seer both Norway and diamond have exactly the same chance as each other of being good. However voting for one helps to determine which message was the seer which might help on the following days.

 

Squibba was there really a need for a vindictive *** for tat vote? What did that achieve?

 

It could be anyone, Diamond has gone out super early every game I've been in so didn't want to vote for him. I'm leaning towards message one being the seer so don't want to vote for Norway.

Cluthu voted for me based on nothing so I voted back, he's just as likely to be the wolf as me, you, HH24 and anyone else not mentioned in the messages. Is it that big of a deal?

 

Okay, one is definitely good I agree. But from an outsider's point of view, there's a 50% chance Norway has been viewed as good and a 50% chance Diamond has been viewed as good no?

 

Ha yes but I mean the wolf is bluffing in that particular message that they're stating they're good. Anyway, I do think message 1 is from the seer and message 2 is from the wolf. Is Diamond the alpha wolf and pretending he's been viewed as good? Probably not but what else is there apart from hunches and grudges.

I have no idea who is a wolf, but don't want to vote for Diamond as I feel sorry for him always being targeted so early. So I went for Powerjugs on the basis that he did something a bit unusual on one of my posts. I accept that's completely random and am not trying to dress it up as anything other than that.

I still think the wolves will be the ones who have stayed relatively quiet ,following the crowd and saying nothing controversial.

 

This is rubbish for Diamond, I'd give up playing if I was him after this run (if he turns out to be good again). It seems that the worst thing you can do is pick up a reputation as a good Werewolf player as you just get targeted straightaway every time.

Edit: unless of course, he's Team Evil, in which case, great effort guys and gal!

 

I’ve just left work (I realise that makes me seem suspicious). What a horrible day. I don’t have any time to form solid theories this evening as I’ve got to buy stuff for my holiday on Friday and the village is closing soon.

I’m not going for Diamond as I think he’s good and we’re fairly obviously doing the wolves bidding.

I think we’re going to regret following Moog to take down Diamond. Instead, I’m going to follow the logic above as he ticks the following:

-Posts less than usual (certainly of any substance)

-Doesn’t make any accusations

-Isn’t more likely than not to be good (unlike diamond)

Good Lord have you lot not learnt anything over the years? You don't have to get rid of people because they were named good, it's the exact opposite on day 1. Probably for the best as Mrs Diamond has an operation tomorrow so I wouldn't have been about much anyway.

Good luck team good. I'll vote for myself as I'm so disappointed in you I'm not giving any clues. Put that on my headstone!

Hang on, let me add one thing to help team good. Notice how the very late posters today came under no real suspicion whatsoever. That's probably too long for my headstone but it's my final say on the matter. I shall enjoy watching from afar.

 

For what its worth Diamond I am still going with the odds and think your good. I voted for a late and minimal poster.

 

VILLAGE CLOSED

Diamond will be lynched after I put my children to bed. The Tavern will open soon after.

 

The villagers gathered as the sun was about to set, they knew they had to do this soon as everyone wanted to get back to the safety of their homes before the sun completely disappeared over the horizon. The gallows were prepared, Diamond stepped forward, "Who deserves to die?" he shouted. No one answered. "Come on, we need to rid ourselves of someone!" He continued, now holding the rope. cthulhu, Steve Harrow and With A Smile stepped forward, "Well what about you?" someone from the crowd shouted. The three held Diamond while Meh come from the other side and slipped the noose over Diamond's head. By now the weight of all of the men had caused the floor of the gallows to break and they all tumbled to the ground in a heap, in the almighty confusion Diamond's headless body was found amongst the others, the severed head rolled away leaving a trail of red.

Diamond was GOOD.
