It is indeed a real place. It's on Anglesey (Yns Mon). The name was made up when the railway arrived, so the enormously long station sign would be a tourist attraction for English visitors. The name roughly translates as follows: Llanfair: Little Church (The original name) pwllgwyngyll (porth gwing geth) - Let's get the English gogerych (go gare eth) - to go there chwyrndrobwll (herwyn drob oth) - and spend money llantysilio (hlanti silio) - aren't they silly gogogoch (go go goch) - ha ha ha!
It does mean that we're seeing young players like Hungbo and Morris making it into the matchday squad which is a good thing.

I live about 10 miles from this village. Lanfair PG to the locals. My dentist is there so it's full of fun. It's got a commercial mini-mall called Pringles, which is visited by foreign coach trips. It sells over priced tourist tatt. It has a Co-Op supermarket. I broke my wrist playing football there in an under 14's semi final, I cried like a total pusssey.

I watched a documentary the other night on Netflix or Prime called Tosh. It was obviously about John Toshak, but predominantly focused on the rise of Swansea City. It was really interesting and brought back some lovely memories of how football used to be. Tosh is bit of a legend and came across really well. Leighton James was on the programme too. He's a real character and told a couple of good stories. It's well worth a watch.
