Rob Edwards told our reporter Andrew French that though he was disappointed by tonight's showing he thought they had enough chances to win the game and would have done so if they had strikers who could finish. At this point in the interview our reporter noted Rob in discomfort. What I meant to say Rob said as he grimaced again was that our strikers will come good. I have great faith in Bayo and Manaj. LESSONS HAVE BEEN LEARNT. NEVER TAKE THE BAYAT AT HIS WORD.
I have had to witness four embarrassing EFL Home matches to decide against this one. Best thing is showing how poor the two up front are to the senior management. For that alone the match has been worthwhile for Edwards.
A reminder that there's basically no correlation between our cup performances and our subsequent league performances.

And as is tradition, we go out the first round. Bayo, Asprilla, Choudhury deserve some praise for effort to try and do something. Hungbo and Blake were net positive more than negative. Rest were shocking.

Nothing at the time convinced me that either Bayo or Manaj would be good signings and nothing SO FAR this season has yet persuaded me otherwise.
Because I don't like losing and you can carry it into league form. Doesn't inspire confidence if B and M can't score against L1 opposition.
Short and sweet, I cannot be bothered to rant and rave over a game that is meaningless in the grand scheme of our overall goal this season. The Good: It's over We're out MK Dons have a nice kit Sema did alright Youngsters looked bright but need time The Bad Okoye was a bit naff Cathcart is still pretty bad even at League One level We had FOUR shots on target never looked like scoring Bayo and Manaj still look like strangers - no chemistry and very alarming early on That wasn't too far off our first XI and they just got schooled by a side next to bottom in League One. I do not think this is a game to get too worried about - but the overall performance was certainly lacking. Commentators on 3CR were getting very irate with the Watford side and Edwards has had a taste of how our backup side fairs. It could be a massive kick up the backside for some - but we need to forget about this and make sure we play much better against QPR on Saturday.
Not sure what we expect when you set up with 7 defensive players and expect Asprilla to create something out of nothing. That’s basically our tactics regardless of the competition. Edwards needs to drop 3 at the back and play one holding midfielder. We are still a creative midfielder short, but I believe with better service, Manaj and Bayo could do a job for us. You can’t write them off already they have only played a couple of games and the service to them and support has been non existent
And lol at anyone who cares, or desperately tries to draw any conclusions whatsoever about the result, or performance.
So obvious you've been saving that for our first loss, and you've wasted it on a meaningless nothing game. So premature!
I'm thankful we managed to go about our business of exiting the cup early efficiently this time around. No drawn out games, no replays, no penalty shootouts, just a nice, calm, unruffled 0-2 loss. A much smoother exit than those of previous years.

Are you Safe-less too Ybot? During the recent upgrade/fix certain things disappeared to certain people. I've had to go Cold Turkey since the start of the season.

Don’t care about the result. Would rather it hadn’t been against this opposition mind you. And we aren’t getting promoted if Manaj and Bayo are being relied upon.
Manaj is pretty bad, not sure what his strengths are? Quite dislikable with his body language and stroppy face, lots of moaning too. Bayo plays like bambi, equally as useless but weirdly still has the smallest sprinkles of quality that confuse me. Second goal looked really preventable by Okoye from where I was sitting, haven’t seen a replay. Troost-Ekong is still awful, watching Gosling attempt to play football is just embarrassing, Hungbo will never make it. Sema seems to be actually dangerous… scary. Asprilla has a higher ceiling than Pedro, I’ll die on that hill for now.
