Young Brazilian striker Matheus Aias looks to be moving on loan to Mirandes (Segunda B) https://www.todomercadoweb.es/mercado/oficial-cd-mirandes-llega-cedido-matheus-aias-261683
Gutted. Boom-long has joined Standard Liege on loan for the season with an option to buy. http://www.voetbalnieuws.be/news/326837/officieel-standard-strikt-oulare Obbi Oulare also plays in the Belgian league this season. Standard officially removed the attacker from Watford and hired him for a year, with a purchase option. That made Mogi Bayat known. For Oulare it is his fourth club in the Belgian league. Last season he was loaned to Royal Antwerp FC by Watford and he knew a lot of injuries there. Oulare scored three times in sixteen league matches. The Great Old showed interest in renting it again, but Oulare opts for a reunion with Michel Preud'homme. Both worked together in the past at Club Brugge. Oulare broke through at Blauw-Zwart and hit 4 times in 25 league matches. Because of some good performances, Watford was suddenly an option and they immediately put eight million euros on the table. In England the striker did not break through and he was loaned to Zulte Waregem, but that was a big flop. A loan to Willem II in the Netherlands was good. Oulare hopes to finally break through at Standard and to know a season without injuries. Tweeted by the agent Mogi Bayat... https://twitter.com/BayatMogi/status/1032614638825955329 translation; Congratulations @Standard_RSCL and @ObbiOulare loan of one year with option to purchase. Thank you Peter for Collaboration
Oulare confirmed by the club now: https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/first-team/official-oulare-loaned-liege
Dmitri Foulquier has gone on loan for the season to Getafe, also confirmed by Watford https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/first-team/official-foulquier-joins-getafe
Foulquier is the new Juanfran. plenty old enough that he should be playing for us if he is good enough. Do we know he actually exists or he is just another made up name used for accounting purposes. Just seems convenient he appeared as Juanfran departed, maybe we can only risk depreciating one fictitious asset at any given time and Juanfran was fully depreciated after 5 years on loan.
No one has any clue as to why we signed Dmitri Foulquier. He has never been suggested as getting near the squad.
Wasn't it always solely to keep hold of him as an asset when they relinquished the majority share in Granada? I don't think there's ever been any suggestion he was intended to be getting near the squad, or trying to do so, just that he obviously needed a base club for the Pozzi to keep earning loan fees and eventually a transfer on him.
Players are assets to the company. They don't have to play for the team or even be considered. If a player is bought for £1m, loaned out for 2 seasons at £300 000 with the borrowing club paying all the wages, then sold for £500 000, the company has made a profit on the transaction. If the £1m is paid over 4 years at £250 000 a year the club doesn't see the player or spend anything, it just acts as a conduit for the money, taking a cut every time a transaction passes through its books.
http://sportwitness.co.uk/club-dire...failed-transfer-hornets-defender-sent-france/ We loaned out a young defender that we bought from Cadiz. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mamadou-mbaye/profil/spieler/490421 http://wfcforums.com/index.php?threads/momo-mbaye.54760/
Well remembered magic, I'd forgotten all about this fella! I did a quick search to see if anything else turned up and found this piece from Radio Murcia... http://cadenaser.com/emisora/2018/08/24/radio_murcia/1535106529_146380.html It says much the same but implies Watford held up the transfer to Real Murcia due to paperwork problems after the Spanish side had waited a week to finalise the move. Then out of the blue the player and Cadiz CEO Quique Pina appear in an instagram post with the message "Surely you will succeed in the French league." Congratulations Momo Mamadou M'Baye. Quique Pina is well known to the Pozzo family and not always for good reasons. He was arrested at the end of January/beginning of February this year for "presumed Inland Revenue fraud and money laundering in offshore territories," as is explained in this article... https://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Global/Issues/2018/02/02/Franchises/Cadiz.aspx Pina was club president of Granada from 2009 until 2016 and his arrest came in connection with an investigation of Giampaolo Pozzo. I believe that was reported and talked about on here somewhere but I'll be blown if I can find it right now.
A ball playing left-footed centre back - he didn't look too shabby at all in the later clips. One to keep an eye on. It looked like Senegal deployed him as a defensive midfielder in one of those games too.
Here's an interesting article on how transfers and associated fees are broken down/structured etc by clubs - apparently it's quite different to how most fans think they're done. No idea if this is true, but it's an interesting read: http://financialfootballnews.com/the-true-costs-of-transfers/
A two goal man of the match last week, Dodi Lukebakio is a sub in the opening Bundesliga game for Fortuna Dusseldorf today.
How about we loan you to Reddit, with a view to making it permanent at the end of the season? I'm sure posting at a lower level will soon get your confidence back.
Only if SLB posts regular updates of my highlights whilst away, and discusses my potential to successfully thrive in this forum in the future.
Sorry @miked2006 , it took about 45 mins to research and write each update, and this season we have even more people on loan. I saw a blog a while back that listed all our players on loan and mentioned that they'd be doing a monthly update so thought I'd take the lazy option and just read that instead.
