    What about if they rip us off like Burnley did re. Gray for a ridiculous fee - if they do that early Jan, they'll have the whole window to reinvest the cash and improve their own team?

    I really can't see Watford doing anything other than a loan with a view to buy later. We have so much to sort out in the transfer market, that money will be tight.

    Yeah, I agree. But Watford have left me feeling incredibly negative of late, that I can't help but envisage the worst possible outcome for us on every matter - on field and off field:(

    And quite frankly would we want to pay 20 million or so for him anyway..?

    Probably just added a million or two to his price tag by scoring what sounds like a very good goal for Leicester.

    I'm surprised they've not used him more. Seems to be a decent player, certainly better than anything we've currently got on our books.

    But Leicester hold all the cards. They'll want over £20m for him I'm sure, and I doubt will settle for a loan deal.

    Pozzo's don't spend big on older players as they have no re-sale value - we won't spend £20m on him and I can't see Leicester loaning him to a prem club - I can't see this one happening

    If Slimani is bought and ends up being another goal shy striker Silva potentially will be in big trouble. Which will please Moog. ;)

    I'm sure we've gone over the Pozzo model time and time again.

    Silva says I need someone in this position, he is given a list, he says who he prefers of that list, that's then likely to be Pozzo's number one target.

    There is just no way in hell anyone can blame Silva for anything transfer related.

    Reading through the thread on the Leicester forum they all seem to rate him but state that he just isn’t suited to their system. They say he will score goals wherever he goes and would be a great signing for us, one of them even states that Andre Gray is rubbish and would be a massive improvement.

    Yep unusual for a groups of fans to be generally so positive about a player (can you imagine someone coming on here to look up Deeney or Gray )

    I have a horrible feeling we won’t be signing a striker this window - too many teams after forwards and pushing prices up. Think we will rely on the then 4 we have getting us over the line.

    absoloutly , with gray and success counting as 1/2 each - although if we were measuring in terms of premier league top goals scorers they would probably only be 1/10
