The chap on 'Transfer Window' at 7pm said it would be a quiet time for Watford.

He's under pressure. There's no doubt about that. There's only so much the board will take before they act. Our results have been dreadful and performances have taken a downward turn recently. Forget the performance on Saturday, as had Bristol taken that game seriously we'd have struggled.

He has not managed the team well, when faced with injuries. He's making out that Kaboul and Britos are big losses, but we all know they would not have a jot of difference had they been available.

Chalobah and Kiko are the only players that we're really missing when it comes to improving the first team. If we cannot play with energetic midfielders, another solution has to be found. We have to be resolute and difficult to break down. We're weak and feeble in defence, na*ve and incompetent. A lot of that is down to coaching and tactics.

Burnley are a similar sized club to us. We probably have a bigger budget than them, plus we certainly have wider resources when it comes to scouting, but they are streets ahead.

This is because they have this tremendous team ethic, based on hard work, organisation and determination. It's imbedded in their DNA and it all stems from their manager. He sets the standards and players follow.

At Watford the players only occasionally play their part, and are up for the big games. Gives us Stoke, Swansea, Huddersfield, Brighton and we don't want to know.

Agreed. But it's easy to cite Burnley as a comparison when you could also compare us to similar clubs like Southampton, West Brom plus Ham, Stoke and Bournmouth who are in a worse state than us.

Stoke, West Ham, West Brom have all sacked their managers. Southampton will very soon, depending on our match with them.

Bournemouth have a very strong bond with Howe, so it will take a lot before they part ways, so they are a little different.

With Watford, it’s pointless keeping faith in a guy that will go at a drop of a hat. You can give time and support to someone that wants to give the two years he signed up for, but if he’s not delivering, with the attitude he’s already shown, then do you really believe the board will give him a lot more time to get it right? I don’t.

When was the last time you didn’t think someone should be sacked? You thought Joka would be gone during the promotion season. Maybe they will appoint a replacement for Silva but you’ll want the replacement gone this time in 12 months.

It’s clear you don’t understand what someone writes.

I am clearly saying what I think the board will do. I backed Mazzarri right until the end even though I thought he was a bad fit. The only time I said he should go was the day before he was actually sacked, so my patience was aligned with the boards.

I never said Flores should be sacked either.

I don’t want Silva sacked either, but I don’t see why the club would give him special treatment when he’s proved he’s not committed to the club.

I think the way he kept the Everton saga going with his refusal to commit to Watford after just 12 games has damaged his relationship with the board.

He seems to be out of the loop during his press conferences. He gives the impression it’s him and them when talking about transfers.

It will all come to a head no doubt if we lose next week.

To say you backed Mazzarri is laughable. No matter though. Be brave and state your position without hiding behind what you think the board will do.

You’ve said you don’t want Silva sacked. Do you want him sacked if we don’t beat Saints or do you still back him?

It's actually funny how your current conversation is almost word for word the same as in this one.

Haha yeah I probably spend too much time talking to HB1.

My personal opinion is that Silva should have up to West Ham away and the international break. 4/5 points from those games and I think he’d be able to limp over the line with the remaining fixtures and then review in the summer.

I never said I backed Mazzarri. Even now you either have difficulty in understanding or like twisting things to suit yourself.

I tell a few home truths, no matter how hard it is for you to read.

Look back to those Mazzarri days and you will see I was consistent about him, and I was correct. I didn’t want him sacked and said that many times, so your perception about what I wrote is wrong, just as it is now. Maybe that’s the bit that bothers you?

I like Silva, but I cannot see how it can be justified the club would keep him if we lose the next match. Maybe it will take a couple of defeats but the performance level of the last few games will not be tolerated for long.

    I honestly don’t know why I bother.

Your post 20 minutes ago was “I backed Mazzari right till the end even though I thought he was a bad fit”.

Latest post “I never said I backed Mazzari”.

With regard to Silva I’ve stated my opinion above and I also think that would be the board’s timescale unless we get tonked 0-4 by saints I suppose.

I don’t know why you bother either. Ok, sometimes my English catches me out with the subtleties of the words I use.

I didn’t want Mazzarri sacked but I didn’t back him either as I thought he was a bad fit for the club.

Not having a supportive view is different from saying I want this guy out of the club.

My first thought is always what’s the best thing for the club. It was obvious Mazzarri wouldn’t be around long, but sacking him too early would have probably been counterproductive.

Wobby saying Leicester want £22m for him.

Wonder how much we can recoup on Okaka, nowhere near that of course but how much more will the Pozzos spend on strikers this season...

They are only asking for 22 million because they overpaid so much in the first place. It’s like us asking for 10 million for Gray.

At least with Gray there will be some resale value though! We'll end up loaning Slimani I reckon

Still only 21 years old, to me has far more potential and possible resale value that Slimani.

Yes just slightly concerning that he is available so quickly after joining them in a big money move. Perhaps he has an attitude problem ? Or perhaps he's just **** ?

I hope he's better than that other great lummox of an Ian they had alongside Claridge.
He was almost as scruffy as Claridge and that took some doing.

Marshall ? They were never an attractive side to watch were they ? It just seems wrong that a player like Mahrez should be playing for them. That will soon be rectified I expect.

What a scruff bag that man was.
Only had to wear a shirt, shorts and socks and managed to look like like Maggie Smith in 'The Lady in the Van'!

the last goal he scored was from a similar position that gray has missed several times this season. I'm not saying he's the answer, but he seems better than gray to me.
