Watford weren’t great. Palace were awful. Really woeful. But still won.

That is what is especially worrying.

Can we ask Sir Elton to buy us a new medical team and a new back four? Oh wait I’m actually serious..

Didn't Chalobah break his knee-cap? In which case do not expect an early return.

I've spent a fortune on going to Burnley and Palace this week and it's been poor.

Great first 20 minutes tonight and then a catalogue of stupid mistakes, which was funny as palace were so cack, but then they got their act together and we know the rest.

Couldn't hold onto the ball or make it stick. Deeney offered nothing and Gray looked dangerous but that was negated by his abysmal first touch.

Doucoure looked tired and him and Cleverly couldn't carry the whole team by themselves.

Missed some sitters but we'd have been murdered by a decent team. It was sloppy and incompetent for far too much of the game and no amount of injuries can excuse the number of wayward passes and how much we dive in.

On the plus side it wasn't as cold as at Burnley.

I’ve been saying for weeks, Silva doesn’t know how to get this team to defend. Am I surprised with tonight’s result? Nope

Plenty more **** like that will be served up for us before the season’s end.

Just got home a Pissed off Palace did not have a sniff till the Red card How the hell Zaha did not get a booking for his antics is beyond me but we should have been 4 or 5 up by the time Cleverly went off

Just read the funniest thing Zaha Man of the Match

I still think Palace will go down

I based my judgement on that fact that it all goes downhill form December so I didn't bother, with either. I'll spend the £120 on cheap liquor instead.

I said as soon as the whole Everton situation came about that this will ruin our season. Silva’s head was turned and all the players noticed it, we haven’t been the same since!

Last year Moog said one of the truest things anyone has said on this forum. We all berated the owners for not taking £35m for Ighalo I’m jan 16, but what about turning down £28m for Deeney. I thought their model was all about selling players at their highest value? What a f*cking mistake that turned out to be. He is fat, lazy and incapable now. No excuses at all.

Gutless, another match is thrown away at the death, it's becoming a worrying habit of ours, a complete lack of game management that we can't even time waste properly .
Three sending's off this season on top of Deeney's retrospective ban, our lack of discipline is shocking and has been for the last few seasons, don't the players and management think it might be better to keep 11 player on the pitch? Going down to ten men is bad enough but the suspension together with the farcical injury situation yet again raising it's ugly head means the squad is looking very thin again. I haven't seen today's sending off but the previous two were in pretty non-threatening situations, that smacks of poor decision making by the players. That with our non scoring strikers means we go into what on paper looked an easy run with real concerns,Huddersfield coming up, have they won away from home this season? Someone here said it's a must win game, hard to disagree with that

It's about time that we realise that no matter how many amazing South American players we buy, and no matter how much better our players are than ********* teams like Burnley and Palace, we're Watford and we'll always be *****. We could sign Messi and Ronaldo and we'd still concede a last minute winner to Crystal ******* Palace.

    Bring back Iwelumo and Garner.

I don't know, with all Duxbury's talk, I'm not sure the powers that be will be overly satisfied with drawing or losing against Huddersfield.

Maybe they'll be happy if we are ahead at some point though.

What ticks me off about this result is that it has happened all to often this season. Our mentality when we concede, or something goes against us, or we go a man down, is horrendous. Our players heads just drop and they have the IQ of goldfish combined.

Most teams going down to 10 men with 3 mins left (plus stoppage time) would have easily seen that game out. Not us though, as per normal, we are the gift that keeps giving to absolute crap teams. Palace are bottom of the league for a reason, they are atrocious. Yet we gift them 2 easy goals and lose.

Silva seriously needs to sort out the mental state of our players before anything else. The fight they had at the start of the season is no longer there.

Huddersfield on Saturday is a must win and I expect nothing less. Anything other than a win is a diabolical result. However as already stated, we are the gift that keeps giving so I fully expect us to lose.

I want us to go 4-4-2 on Saturday because that’s the only formation we can play with our injury and suspension list. Stick Deeney and Gray up top together.

I don’t know what Okaka has done but bring him out from the cold during this hectic time of fixtures. I am not an Okaka fan, in fact I can’t stand him for reason mentioned in plenty of other posts. However during this time in the season we need options from the bench to change games and he is all we have.

    So ticked off!

I hope we have a ST and CB lined up already to join us the first week in January. Wouldn’t mind us also signing a winger, a LB and CM. Splash the cash (again) Gino.

We also need a whole new medical team. The Sunday leagues need their subs back, we don’t need them bringing on the magic sponge and deep heat anymore.

I am not sure that is the necessarily the case, I genuinely think we have just been a bit unfortunate in more recent times. Since the Everton rumours come out we have beaten West Ham 2-0, Newcastle at St Jame's Park 3-0, we played some good stuff against United but you can't be too upset about loosing to a title contender, we the drew with Tottenham and played very well and to be honest 11 vs 11 I reckon we would have beaten Burnley. We were moments away from getting the result tonight and probably would have if it weren't for Tom Cleverley's stupid tackle, once we went to 10 we panicked.

As for Troy Moog was right! At the time though Troy was playing a hell of a lot better than he is now and he was a very important player in the squad, I am not so sure he is now and to be honest in my opinion there is absolutely no way we can justify paying £100,000 a week for a striker who has not scored in open play this season.

Huddersfield seem to blow hot and cold. There on a bad run but so are we results wise as they too will look at Watford away as winnable.

We have more chance of going ahead in the first 30 more no but I just don’t feel safe unless we’re at least 3-0 up on teams. Surely if we get to that position Saturday we can see the game out.

    Can we?

errrrrrr.. 3 reds? Or have i misunderstood your meaning there?

But as you say we are near the top of the (non) Fair Play table.. again. Not just cards either, we give away more fouls than anyone else as well.
This cant be a coincidence i wouldnt have thought and under 3 different managers.
It's impossible to say just how many games/points this has cost us but it's certainly not helped our stability.

Every f**king time against Palace. I'm not even sure why I go anymore when we're playing them.

We just shat ourselves past 30 odd mins, should have been at least 2 up by half time. WTF is going on with all of these injuries? Has Mazzari's curse continued?

Bring back Chalobah and 4-2-3-1 ASAP please!

Just back from my first ever trip to Selhurst.

I'd heard stories of it being run-down, but goodness me I wasn't ready for what I experienced. Palace have been in the Premier League (thanks to us) for 5 years now and still have a ground like an over sized non league team. It's a disgrace.

As for the game, it doesn't get any better. We didn't play badly, in fact we outclassed an inferior team. But then we somehow lost. And it was raining. And it was cold. And I couldn't see most of the pitch due to the ludicrous gradient of the stand (despite being 6 ft 3). I got home past midnight having to trudge through perilous half-melted ice from Watford Junction for half an hour. But it's days like this that make football matter. Without this the wins wouldn't feel so sweet. This is what football is all about.

Right now I feel like I never want to go to another Watford match again. But I will. And I will see them win. And it will feel good because of days like this.

To be fair as I put my key in my door thoroughly pissed off i did think “you have to experience the bad times as well as the bad”. Without nights like this, Deeney’s goal v Leicester wouldn’t mean as much. Brighton away wouldn’t feel as relieving.

This team is easily the most infuriating side I've ever seen. The decision making is simply in a class of its own at times, do these players really not learn from previous experience? What was Cleverley thinking with that challenge? Why dive in like that when a) he was already on a yellow and b) its palace ffs the most vertically challenged side in the league. He couldnt have been 100% sure he would get the ball so why do it? Didnt he see what happened to Zegeeler or whatever his name is at the weekend? Didnt he learn from Holebas's air kick then hack down a player move earlier in the season? I dont care that Zaha should have been booked in the first half or that Van Arsehat wasnt sent off its doesnt mean you'll get away with something so ******* stupid. Easiest decision of the night for the ref to make. And the most annoying thing about all of it was that he didnt need to make the challenge in the first place.

Even with the sending off we should have been able to see the game out - Palace are a really poor side who will do well to avoid the drop and never looked like scoring or even testing Gomes. Bit of adversity or a sending off and suddenly we cant defend.

We should have been 3-0 up by half time and out of sight, certainly 2-0 up - How many sitters are we going to miss this season. I think it was actually harder for Deeney to miss the way he did than to score. That cojones comment was cringeable enough, the fact it was made by a player who has since got himself banned for man handling a short ass and missed his only chance since of scoring from open play is laughable.

Our final ball in the last third has been pretty atrocious recently and I dont know if its a drop in confidence, the change in system from 4-2-31 or both but we just dont look that threatening going forward any more. Again the decision making has been poor and Richarlison needs to take some of the blame here, stop trying to do everything yourself. We need a striker desperately. Deeney isnt the answer (who again kept slowing down our attackes/not holding the ball up and getting in the way)nor is Okkaka who for every good game spends the next 3 flouncing in the general direction of the ref because the nasty defender tackled/out muscled him. Give Success a run out hes quick, strong, good in the air and seems to offer the best of both our current strikers. Put him on a tarts & baileys per goal bonus and see if that makes a difference.

The injuries just begger belief. Another season another load of injuries and yet again down to our 5th & 6th choice centrebacks. As for Feminia, I mean seriously wtf? He couldnt have been that badly injured if he was able to walk off down the tunnel and if he was suffering from a knock then why was he in the team in the first place. Its actually pretty disgraceful just walking off like.

Doucoure, who has easily been player of the season so far, had a pass accuracy of 67% in the first half which just about sums the performance up. Bar the last ten minutes we werent bad but we werent at the races either.
