Yep. Totally concievable. - We can lose this one. Wba are no mugs. Our form is good but they have some good players. - Arsenal are looking good finally. Will be very hard to get a result out of that, even at home. - It's likely we will lose to chelsea away. I think the difference between this season and last though is that Silva appears to want us to go for these teams, and we have a formation and the people to do it. Not sit back ala Mazza. So while it is obviously posible, it's also possible that we could get 3, 4, 6, 7 or 9 points. Definitely no need to panic if we do. It's a tough run.
Signed by AVB and then Sherwood & Poch didn't fancy him too much. Didn't amaze under QSF or Mazzarri and is 4th possibly 5th choice under Marco Silva as well as a reported bust up in the summer. Maybe the problem is Capoue who just seems like an absolute *****. At 29 years old, Capoue is a write off. He's hit his ceiling, good player 5/6 times a season, average the rest, nothing wrong with that, he seems content on being an average player but don't see the point in him filling till Chalobah is back when Hughes probably can't do much worse.
So here I sit tanked up on Edelstoff (google it), my wife has retired to bed with a "terminal" headache and all I can think about is 'we are better than them all over the pitch' ... Wake me up when it's over and please BE GENTLE!
Am I dreaming it or did I read somewhere that he had very little interest in football? Agree, if he was consistent across the season then we would never have been able to get him from Spurs
I see in the Sky Sports Scoop 6 competition, Jeff Stelling has got the Watford result wrong every time we have been in it this season. Today he has predicted us to win 2-1.
I'm expecting/hoping to see Deeney given a good run out today. Glancing at the Baggies' forums, Nyom is being highlighted as their major cause for concern. Such a shame as he was absolute class for us until that one match (can't remember who it was we were playing - might have been Crystal Palace), where much to our surprise he had been obviously targeted as a weak link by their manager despite being a rock up till then. He got torn a jagged new one and was never the same player after that.
Big win for the 'orns today. 3 or 4 nil, and Tony Pulis to die on the touchline from a burst blood vessel in the brain.
Speaking about match of today, We could Win a 5-4 thriller and still become last on the pecking order behind arsenal who will win like 1-0 or something
Average means he can hold his own in a Premier League team, which is pretty good. He even turned out for France. None of our managers have dispensed with him, his stats show consistent effort. We know his limitations but he is far from finished and not so easy to replace as you think.
Team: Gomes (GK); Femenía, Mariappa, Kabasele, Holebas; Doucouré, Capoue; Carrillo, Cleverley, Richarlison; Deeney (C). Precisely what I predicted - TD in for Gray.
Horses for courses, their CBs are physical, so Troy's going to beat them up then 20 minutes to go Gray comes on tears them a new one.
Looks like West Brom are going 4-4-2 against us today. I expect them to be very aggressive and try to kick lumps out of us. Their disciplinary record is worse than ours. West Brom: 6 PL games 11 Y 1 R Watford: 6 PL games 8 Y 1 8 This game definitely has penalty and red card written all over it.
Deeney gets a chance thank goodness . Bringing gray on around the65th minute will cause a lot of problems for the tired slow deffence. Could be a close one , I'm going for a 1-2 victory if nothing drastic happens , and are deffence puts in a good shift.
