Lots of great performances today, and a few suspect, but I think Femenia quietly had another exceptional game. Fantastic bit of business. Well deserved point.
These late goals are doing nothing to bring down my blood pressure but it must be producing a great feeling in the dressing room. So glad I'm not a WBA fan. Awful club playing awful football with a git of a manager.
I’m so happy! I would have taken a draw before the game started, WBA is just not easy as logic makes you think. But after half an hour that in that is even sweeter, and I have Richarlison in my fantasy team! Happy days!
Aside from gifting away two goals with a little more quality in the box and into it we should have won today. WBA are a typical Pulis side. Dour and dogged heavily reliant on set piece and tactical time wasting. We have far more quality and showed it for much of the match. We really should be going away with another win on our travels. However it's great to see the team never giving up and thoroughly earning that stoppage time equalizer. One slight concern has to be Gomes and his decision making and his ability to get down low. He seems slower this season.
Great result. Will write more later because I'm buzzing right now. Take that West Brom you dirty, disgusting, anti-football, cheating, boring pieces of poopoo.
Deeney was useless today, You put him in to win headers and second balls and I dont think he won a single air battle. Richarlison in my opinion has surpassed Pereyra as our teams best player, He is scoring some important goals at the minute, he puts in a shift every game and is doing insane amounts of running, and today against the big lumps of Evans and Hagazi he was battling away. Carillo and Doucoure once again were solid on the ball. Our back four was naive in the first 30 minutes of the game and we could have easily won if not for the case that they where running like headless chickens in the first half. Pereyra looked solid. Man of the Match is Richarlison, With either Carrillo or Holebas/Kiko coming in close 2nd. This transfer window we need to bring in another CB and Replace Deeney, the man is useless now.
I really, really hope it doesn’t happen for a while yet but Richarlison will leave for a CL team one day and when he does the fee will be £50m plus. What a f**king player.
Great battling from the boys. The Scottish clown who was co commentating said at the end, we PERHAPS deserved the draw. We ******* dominated that second half, you muppet! Deeney was way off the pace and Gomes was poor, apart from that, thought everyone played pretty bloody well
WB are just horrible to watch, horrible, I've seen better football down the local park We were by far the better side and we really should be beating carp like that quite comfortably, and we would but for stupid mistakes at the back The CBs have got to be sorted out in Jan whatever the cost; and it's maybe time to put Gomes out to pasture, maybe Deeney too
That feels like the biggest win of the season. 2 nil down against a team that is known for its defence, speaks volume for our attack.
Can we also praise the quality of the free kick from Holebas/Cholevas...simply undefendable (if that's even a word)
Very good performance against a horrible side and therefore a decent result considering it was a Pulis team at home. Never say die attitude, great character. We wouldn't have achieved that last season once the rot set in. Defence still a bit frail (silly mistakes) but can build on that and it feels mean to complain because they are still putting in a shift (considering neither were/are first choice). The equaliser felt like justice after the amount of fouls on richie.
I thought Holebas's free kicks where awful, One of them went directly for Dawson to header off into the stands. Ofcourse the last freekick was a peach.
66% possession I think that enough to deserve something, what do Scottish commentators know about us!
Pereyra is still not fully match fit or sharp. When he, Richarlison and Carillo get together as a trio one can only expect some magic. Richarlison and Carillo were superb again today. They switched with ease, always provided a threat and are part of the ethos of defending from the front.
That's OK VR. It's good news. It's all part of the plan. All pundits in denial about our quality, it's just Watford. The longer they think like that the better.
I see Richarlison was just about to lift up his shirt whilst celebrating and thought better of it, sensible young lad!
Wow! Remember a time when it was us who conceded last minute goals? That's FOUR points won already this season thanks to injury time strikes against Liverpool, Swansea and now today. A shocking few minutes of defensive calamities to concede twice in four minutes, but huge heart and guts to come back and snatch a draw. We've now scored 2 goals in all four of Silva's away matches. That's 11 goals in 5 matches on the road now as we actually got 3 in WM's last one too. Nice. Kudos to Holebas for that crucial block in stoppage time when Brom broke forward, then to assist the equaliser. I almost typed 'winning goal' as it felt like one. It was actually exactly the sort of goal you'd normally expect WBA to score wasn't it? Richarlison is already becoming one of my favourite WFC players, after just seven matches! Doucoure has now scored with all 3 of his shots this season. 100% record. If you can't win, at least try for a point as each draw in this league can be so valuable. The Liverpool one ended our losing run and got Silva's reign off to a fruitful start. Today's should send us into the break full of hope ahead of two very tough fixtures when football is back in a fortnight.
Special mention has to go to Holebas who covered serious ground to get a last ditch tackle in the 92nd minute to keep us in the game. Great to see the whole team and bench ecstatic in celebration again, these last minute goals really create a serious belief in what you're doing and team spirit.
