He had to sit on the seat behind the driver though cos he's so tiny and was out on his own.

Also seen hobbling off the bus heading towards the new Watford market (cheers Dorothy, great job!) as he probably wants to make sure it's at least on a par with the one in Lille.

He'll be very disappointed with the three 'cabins' that sell 'phone tat, footy cr@p and the handbags so will never sign for us.

    Next.

Told that Lille may be willing to accept less than 20m euros for Sofiane #Boufal. Forward is likely to be out injured until September

As our rivals Bournemouth have demonstrated. I expect Richard Hughes has already identified this guy as the last piece in their jigsaw.

Ditto. There was a time when a player worth £20m was well known.

Pogba reportedly going for 100 mill.

Wasnt all that in the Euros, thought Payet was better.

I thought Pogba was outstanding in many of their games.

He was crap in the final, though.

And Pogba has been consistently better over the past 5 years. Which ones worth more? The one that performs over 7 games or 70?

If he doesn't turn up in the Euro 2016 final, how can anyone be sure he will do against Burnley?

    I say we pass IMHO.

Id take Gavin Mahon over both of them, and keep the other £99.9 mill

I dont think Pogba was consistently better 5 years ago considering he was 18 at the time and in the Man Utd U21 team

Ok, 4 years then. The staff at Utd still highly rated him though. Just couldn't guarantee the starts he was demanding.

Did Fergie rated him that highly? - he once played Rafael in central midfield rather than giving Pogba a chance at 18! Think that was the selection that finished it off and made Pogba leave.

'On Boufal: Watford met his reps in London on Monday, fee €20-25m. Interest from Spurs, Southampton, Sevilla, Arsenal, Chelsea, German clubs'

From the Journalist that broke the story originally.

Is football running out of names? Players nowadays seem to be named after old players or simply are a lazy rehash of them.

    Pogba - Drogba
    Payet - Poyet
    Boufal - Bouffon
    Kanu - Kanu
    Ronaldo - Ronaldo

and I've lost count of the Sissokos and Traores nowadays

I have a recollection that there was an abundance of players with Camara or Kamara as a surname a number of years ago, unless it was the same player who had a plethora of clubs within a short space of time.

    Tommy - Conor
    ? - ?
    Les - Graham
    Richard - ?

Are there players/managers with Watford that can complete the puzzle?

Paul Jones played for us on loan under Ray Lewington, including the cup sem-final against Liverpool. Davy Johnson also played a few times in the early 80s making his debut away at Man U in the 1982-83 season. Can't think of another Jones!

Well played Sir. I don't have enough historical info to confirm it, but I am assuming it is correct. That is some encyclopedia memory you have.

We've had two Watsons as well. And two Richardsons I think. Two Thompsons.
