BeIN Sports. It seems to be knocking out both Fox Soccer and Gol TV...

Out of curiosity, what do you have on TV about international football?

In Italy it's basically Sky Sport, but in last years it had a wide range of TV rights covering also Premier, FA Cup, Liga and Bundesliga.
This year, disappointingly, they announced to have gained exclusive TV rights for Formula 1 and MotoGP, but regarding football they didn't renew for Germany and Spain (too much money asked) so I only have Premier League.
The only alternative, that many seem to have followed, is Al Jazeera Sport, which has an incredible array of TV rights, that nominally are only for residents in North Africa and Mid East but ... well, they broadcast also from the same Hot Bird satellite as Sky and it's not so difficult to buy online one of their access cards.

The evil Sky empire is here too covering the EPL and La Liga. ESPN shows Ligue Une and the Bundesliga.

I watch Gol TV online and Argentine Public TV for coverage of the Apertura/Clausura.

I have it in Spanish, as a subscription only channel - doubt I'll be giving Comcast any more $$$ for their infinitely poor service.

When GolTv launched here on Time Warner Cable, despite it featuring English language broadcasts of Serie A, La Liga, and Eredivisie matches, along with lots of other random stuff, they embedded it in the Espanol tier, so you had to pay for a bunch of other Spanish language channels to get it. Out of principle, I refused to pay and therefore never had GolTV.

BeIN launched here with both an English and Spanish channel, both as part of the Sports tier which I DO pay for. It won't matter much, but write an email to Comcast asking them to get English BeIN. You'll be a voice in the wilderness, but it couldn't hurt. Get all those paddys at the pub who follow Celtic to do the same thing!

I heard that Udinese lost 1-0 to Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia last night. A mate from work who is a Fiorentina fan informed me.

You could still watch it mate. My Fiorentina mate said that Udinese were the better team, but the Fiorentina keeper just had a cracking game.

Sherlock/Stefano from Udine/Udinese fans: I get the impression that Udinese rely on Di Natale a lot to score their goals? Is this something that you agree with? Will you look to buy another forward in January perhaps?

As long as they don't decide to ship one of ours over, I think it would be a good idea. Unless they decide to give Assombalonga a shot, that could really bring him on; but only on loan though a we would definitely want him back!!!

A front two of Garner and Wichelow would certainly shake up Udinese's front line.

They could have emu for the bench too.

Only on loan though - we want them back!

Agree with this 110% IMO!!! Six months in Serie A would be the perfect way for Britt to bridge the gulf in class between League 2 and the Championship. Get him off to Udine for 6 months and have him back here ready next summer for an assault on the Championship.

Unlucky match. Udinese was well worth a victory but was not clinical in attack. Pity! But it was a good match by the lads, they gave it all, can't complain.
Well, it looks like our season objective now is to have an easy safety and maybe preparing the team for next season, experimenting new modules and giving space to the younger ones.

El, the point is a great striker like Di Natale is a blessing and a limit together. The module is built around him, the 3-5-1-1 gives him the freedom of movement he likes and he uses it at best. Ideally it should be complemented by frequent attack runs from the midfielders and the trequartista and when it works it works great.
We have already several other good or decent strikers, Muriel on all who seems to be really good.
The problem is that Di Natale is great but also forces other strikers to play in unusual position. Any good striker must either play as partner to him acting as trequartista, or just be contented to be his sub.

Yes that is the rumor, the local newspaper says it so too, and also the main sport newspaper of italy (Gazzetta dello sport) says that that is already decided, just they are waiting the opening of the window to officalize it, the team of Genoa will "receive" floro flores, not a bad thing..................................for us XD

Udinese will lose 2 players to the ACON. Mehdi Benatia to Morocco and Agyemang-Badu to Ghana.

Yes I confirm what Stefano said.
Nothing official so far, but it seems 99% sure that Floro Flores (who failed to impress at Granada) was sold to Genoa in exchange for 50% of Merkel and of Alhassan (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/masahudu-alhassan/profil/spieler_172338.html).
Absolutely a great thing: we get rid of a player aged 29 who always seemed promising but never convinced at Udine or Granada or on loan, and seemed always quite a troublesome one, in exchange for half of two very promising 20 years old. It's a luck that Genoa's owner seems to appreciate very much Flores.

Regarding Basta, simms ... come on, no jokes! ;)

After reading that, I didn't realise that Malaga have been hit big time by the Financial Fair Play. Makes you wonder how Man City are allowed to get away with it (I am aware of the ridiculous £800m "sponsorship" deal.)

The day "Financial Fair Play" will seriously be something more than three empty words, Udinese will be in the couple of dozens of teams in Europe still allowed to participate to EU cups.

No chance Basta will come here. UEFA has hit several clubs with penalties for failing to pay players but only Atletico Madrid are notables in the list. I would like to see UEFA tackle some bigger fry as well as picking on minnows.

FFP has led to some clubs being more considerate in their financial planning others like PSG and Manchester City seem to carry on spending oil millions. PSG in particular seem to have gone beyond the stratosphere.

Teams will think twice about signing African players in future. Pay their ***** and develop them only to lose them to this tinpot tournament every four years.

    Best to buy British.

Yes wfcmoog it is correct, but also worse somehow....because African cup is every 2 years and not every 4 like in Europe. And this year it is consecutive to the last year one because they decided to change and make it every uneven years

Wow! Great way to begin 2013 after the long Christmas stop.
    Udinese-Inter 3-0.
An even FH with a few chances for both teams. At the beginning of SH, Inter seems more dangerous, with Cassano and Guarin playing very very well and a couple of great chances for Inter badly wasted.
Then, in 2 minutes, Di Natale scores and Muriel again forces a yellow for an opponent, the second one this time. Inter with 10 men.
Then things are just smooth and come two more great goals from Muriel and again from Di Natale (12 in 16 matches).

We were so-so in first half of season and are still very far away from EU cup qualification places, but we might enjoy the second half of the league, with Di Natale and Muriel at last playing together! :jumping1:

P.S.: Inter was third in table. :naughty:
