On Transfer Deadline Day Watford travel to The Den to face Millwall. We should have Hogg back and Alex Kica(etc) available to play. Millwall have defenders Alan Dunne and Shane Lowry back in contention with the pair returning from suspension. Captain Paul Robinson misses out with a thigh injury, Jordan Stewart and Ryan Mason (both groin) are struggling to be fit for the game and Therry Racon and Tamika Mkandawire remain sidelined. Ex-Horn's Bouazza and Henderson should feature against us. Hopefully we can springboard from our brilliant performance against Spurs and beat Millwall. This game is vital for us, a point is the minimum we should be going for here. A repeat of our last victory at The Den will do please Mr. Dyche.
I would be happy with a point also. Henderson is on fire right now which could be a huge problem for us. The other issue we have is how to keep up the Spurs form into the league? The Spurs performance seemed to come from the players being allowed to take a chance, push onto them in their own half, apply pressure and commit men forward. In the league I doubt we'll have that freedom or "nothing to lose" mentality and will play more conservatively. Would be great to be reallly positive though.
Mirfin, could be his last chance if Mariappa does in fact stay. Go out with a real boring bang. Or fizzle.
Good news..what about the other 10 players. Will Mariappa get pulled off at half time or only a sub I wonder?
Got a feeling the middle will be Hogg, Eustace, Kalashnikov and Murray with the latter two playing wide

Team: Loach; Hodson, Nosworthy, Mariappa, Doyley; Murray, Hogg, Eustace, Kacaniklic; Garner, Deeney. Subs: ****inson, Yeates, Iwelumo, Buaben and Bond.
F****** madness to deliberately weaken the team like this in such a vital fixture. I'm furious about it.
I honestly think, and it is meant with all due respect, that you are completely wide of the mark about LB deliberately weakening the team etc. We are a football club. It is a business. Added to that Sordell has been in poor form anyway.
Not his biggest fan so its only fair I come on straight away and say Well Done Dyche..with all the distractions going on today, that was a very good win. And when your top scorer is about to leave, what better than the 2 guys playing up front to both score goals. If we stay up this year, it'll be coz we've generally done well against our fellow strugglers..we must be top of a mini league of the bottom 7 or 8 clubs!
Considering that at the last second Sordell was removed from the squad and Garner played his only his second start for us having debuted in a long, hard game just four days ago against spuds that was great. Both strikers scored, sounds like until the last 15 mins we were playing more good football and had a hat full of excellent chances. Bodes really well. Even Loach couldn't ruin it today - he did his best, but saved the penalty! Fair play to him, hope he gains some confidence from it, sounds like he had a good game.
To be fair I thought Garner did quite well when he started some of the earlier games and hopefully can take his chance of a long run in the side. Loach saving a penalty eh? Good job the window is closed..somebody might want him!
Must be Loach's first penalty save ever, He has never looked like getting near any before. Was it Doris who took it? A win away from home is always good and Saturday's game might be a good time, with a bit of run in form again. Today was one of those games when we couldn't afford to loose if we are aiming to stay up. Onwards and upwards and good to see the strikers to get goals for once!
